like at school people like laugh at me cuz i am who here is a vegan thats gets made fun of. like poeple will alk by and be like im gonna have a bg juciy steak toning and im just thinking **** u in my myde well there just jealous cuz they no they could never become one right???

school kids being immature.. it'll always be that way.
kids (people, in general) will make fun of others just to feel better about themselves.
seriously though you are eating healthy and saving animals.. I don't see anything funny about that. you should be the one making fun of them they're the ones who are rotting their bodies with carcasses. they're not going to laugh when they get heart disease.
just ignore them because chances are they're never gonna grow up.

School kids pick on anyone that's "different" than the norm. But I have seen where many young people flaunt their "different-ness" and so attract the trouble they say they want to avoid. You'll have to decide for yourself if you are doing things that attract unwanted attention. Some people thrive on any kind of attention, even negative attention. They probably aren't jealous, though. I'm sure they would rather eat normally.

These are just plain narrow minded people who cannot accept that other people have a different lifestyle. I got the same thing when I was away at college. We all cooked our own dinners in a common kitchen, then took it to a common dining room to eat. I once sat at an empty table and was soon joined by a bunch of people who made incessant comments on how disgusting my food was, so I couldn't enjoy my steak at all. That upset me so much that for months, I stayed in my own room, cooking everything in one lousy little rice-cooked (even though cooking in your bedroom was not allowed), and wound up getting anaemia.
Discrimination goes both ways, you see.

Being made fun of for being vegan is as, if not more stupid as being made fun of for being smart, pretty, rich, happy, or any other positive thing. The thing is that they don't understand why you are vegan, or how you feel, I doubt they are jealous, and they don't understand that you would easily prefer vegies over that juicy steak. All you can do it pity their poor souls and hope one day they will realise they were wrong, but it's doubtful.

its like this...they are young and they are kind of morons. there are worse things they could be picking on people for i guess. don't worry about it. i am vegan and yeah outside of school in the world where people arent as wanky :]] people make jokes too but i dont care cos i used to eat meat and i am only vegan for moral reasons. i am not gonna freak out if someone is sitting there chomping on cow or monkeys or little dead babies. well. maybe the babies cos ewwwwww but thats their bag. let them do what they want. secretly consol yourself with the fact that their karma is sho* to hell. yay for the vegans! be proud to stand up for what you believe in by living your life the way you feel is right. not a lot of people can do that.

Kids never need a REASON to make fun of you... if you're different, then they will find a way.
Ignore them, eat your lunch by yourself, and take comfort in the fact that once you get out of public education, you'll find surprisingly more open-minded people.

Kids are mean in general and are just looking for a reason to make fun of others. You are different from them so they use that against you...let them say what they want and you just stick w/ what you believe.
