My family still eats meat but I DONT cook it. I told them when I decided to become vegetarian that I wont shop for meat and I wont cook it. they accepted that (no choice) and everything is just fine and dandy.

It used to bother me, but after so long you get used to it. I won't force them to be vegetarians, but I do ask them to have respect for my lifestyle.
I normally make 2 meals each night. One for them, and one vegetarian for myself. They can decide which they want to eat. Believe it or not, many nights my kids will choose the vegetarian meal over the other.

Yeah, it's hard to cook soups, etc., when you have to taste stuff and see if they are 'ok' to feed my husband. [YUCK, animal soup, spaghetti and ground animal lumps, strips of fried animal and eggs with toast...]
We do have a number of 'meatfree' meals during the week. He doesn't mind it, but is a meat-eater anyway. Sometimes he will just fix himself something and I fix my own chow.
It is also very hard to find anything 'vegetarian/vegan' in my area at restaurants, ugh!

Not at all. [: I'm the only Vegetarian in my household. I cook for them once in a while, But they do just consider it as 'VEGETARIAN FOOD'
It gets on my nerves sometimes, But yeah. [:

i dont do all the cooking in my meat eating family because im the daugher and i dont do it because parents are a pain in the bum. i cook for them on the rare days when they agree to eat the meat substitues that they already know they love" really, when i cook for myself, chili, soup or belognese etc and they'll come in and start eating it from the pan, then on another day ill say "can i make veggie sheppards pie for everyone?" and my mum will go "you can do the basics if you want then can add meat to our bit" and im like "i dont want to! i want us to all eat the same and me not to be left out for once!
so i try.

No it does not. I even make my dog food.
I am a Vegan who does 95% Raw.
I am the 1 who married a meat eater, adopted a pet that needs meat & has evolved to more strictness in my own eating. They have stayed the same.

It does bother me to cook for them because I feel like I'm encouraging them to eat meat. And I would just cook with mock meats. As long as their being fed they shouldn't complain about what their eating.

Not really, I try not to be pushy with my beliefs, and I expect the same from them in return. I don't generally buy/prepare meat unless its for a specific request. They don't really miss the meat anyway. I just try to be neutral about it with my family.

ya there is never clean dish, even the washed dish is dirty
and never pots and pans to cook with.
but when i cook something, i wash it right after i use it
so i never leave trace of kitchen usage, and then i have to clean the kitchen before i started cooking
