I dont have stds but I wonder how people who have it view it.

I have never had either...however...I have been in medicine for 20 yrs...and -God NO!~ STD's are treatable, unless you get Herpes or HIV...and herpes is no where near the magnitude of cancer. (Unless you are talking like a Basal Cell skin cancer that is removed once and never recurs). ANyway, Cancer is treatable too, but inevitably you will get another form of cancer, or at least always be looking in the rearview mirror for whats sneaking up on you. Cancer I think effects you more mentally as well...it as seen as a death scentence. Anyway...my 2 cents.

Most STDs can be successfully treated with a simple regimen of antibiotics (except HIV and Herpes). Cancer is worse. It can be disfiguring, painful, and the treatment can be very difficult. Been there done that for both

It depends on the STD. Aids is fatal. Many cancers can be cured. Herpes is forever, but not fatal. Most common STD's can be cured with antibiotics.

I don't have an STD but 1 out of 3 adult americans have one.. it all depends on the STD you have.. and how it affects your life
