There is a show on the travel channel about a guy who goes all over the world and eats the most disgusting of foods all over the planet, would you eat fried bumblebees, or goats brains,or pork in salt that's been sitting on a shelf for two months?

The Philippines is home to numerous exotic dishes. Here's a list of what I've tried:

- balut (the soup's nice, but I feel sorry for the hairy chick)
- sea cucumber (tried it in a Chinese resto - can't really describe it, but it's soft and a little slippery)
- raw anchovies, called 'kilawin' (pickled in vinegar, onions and ginger - pretty good!)
- a soup called 'papaitan' (cow innards cooked in cow's bile to give it a slightly bitter taste)
- isaw (barbecued chicken or pork intestine)
- dinugguan (pork stew cooked in pig's blood)

I'll go for the salted pork - I'm sure it's cured. Brain's too high in cholesterol and bees are too crunchy ;)

No, I wouldn't try those foods. I have eaten wallaby sausages and kangaroo steak. The wallaby sausage is very lean with hardly any fat content and tasty. The kangaroo meat is also lean and quite rich in flavour especially when marinated in red wine and garlic. A small piece is enough. And I've also eaten venison cooked on the barbeque, very nice indeed.

I've had fried grasshoppers. Actually not bad. My High School biology teacher made some for us one day in class. He used to bring them in his lunch. They were pretty good fried and lightly salted.

I've also eaten chicken intestines. They are the basis of a soup called Flaki that is very popular in Poland. It is DELICIOUS! I'm glad that I had some before they told me what it was made of. I have, and would, eat it again when in Poland.

Seal stomach...which has all sorts of seafood already inside!
Very different, and an acquired taste (that I'm not quite sure if I acquired or not...)...a very special occasion in my life.

Moose tongue, brain, and heart...all are QUITE delicious. Moose meat was a common thing for us (I grew up in Alaska), and everyone fought over these pieces. If they are prepared properly, your mouth will water at the mere memory.

When I went to Cozamel I had Turtle steak. Was very good and tasted just like beef. I would not eat any of the other foods you named. I'm too squeemish. The thought makes me sick.

I've eaten goat stew, roasted Barricuda(it can only be eaten at certain months due to high mercury and copper content.)Very tasty but what an ugly fish.
