A very good question.
If Islam, Christianity and Judism came from the same God, why are they so different?
From the beginning of mankind, God has been sending His messengers to give mankind true guidance from God. Thus, Islam believes in all the prophets of God, before Muhammad (including Abraham, Moses and Jesus); and all the Books of God, before the Qur’an (including the Torah, the Psalms of David and the Gospel of Christ). No other religion does this.
Islam categorically states the existence of the One and Only God, Who is the Creator and Sustainer of the whole universe. This fact is stated in the Torah, the Gospel and in the Qur’an. Yet, the Christians of today follow the pagan idea of Trinity, introduced into Christianity by Paul of Tarsus. The unequivocal statements of all the Old Testament prophets, as well as Christ, about God, completely square with the idea of God presented by Islam.
If you consider the prophecies about a prophet-like-Moses, given in Deuteronomy 18: 18, Isaiah 42: 1-17, and about the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth or the Paraclete, in the Gospel, according to John 14 and 16, you can see clearly that this prophet could be none other than the last prophet of God, Muhammad (peace be upon him).
A study of the progressive guidance of God, through Judaism, Christianity and Islam, will clearly prove that Islam, as taught by Muhammad, is the culmination of that progression.
Consider the teachings of Islam: one god, one human race, one religion; belief in all the prophets of God, which is the ground of its tolerance; belief in the accountability of man in the hereafter. Besides, one can see the emphasis it lays on justice, equity and brotherhood in social life; and on purity, sincerity and the spirit of sacrifice in individual life.
Consider the intense practicality of Islamic teachings, its compatibility with science and technology and with modern times. Also see that it is the fastest growing religion now, in spite of all the adverse conditions and the most hostile propaganda against it.
As for the difference in the teachings of Christ and the teachings of Muhammad: The mission of Jesus was limited to the Children of Israel, as the Gospels themselves state it. For example in Matthew chapter 15, verse 24: Christ told his disciples: “I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Christ’s mission was mainly to teach the Children of Israel of the meaninglessness of their literalism in their adherence to the letter of the Law if they ignored its spirit.
The Jews had become a very harsh people; for that was what they could learn from the strict teachings of the Law as taught by Moses. Jesus came to teach them compassion, love and mercy. Muhammad came to strike a balance between the two ways; his mission was to complete the religion of Islam, as he was the last prophet. So in Muhammad’s teachings, you can find a blend of the Mosaic Law’s strictness and Jesus’s mercy, as well.
That is the “middle path”. Muslims are described as “ummatan wasatan”, a balanced society. This is part of the perfecting of religion, since the complete religion would not be only mercy and sacrifice. It is practical and viable; it is a way of life, a complete way of life.
Jesus is reported to have said: “… but I say unto you, that ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.” (Matthew 5: 39) “But I say unto you, Love your enemies ……” (Matthew 5: 44) These are beautiful ideals, but hardly practicable. How many Christians can turn the other cheek? Or love their enemies? They use cluster bombs to destroy innocent people who might, one day, possibly become their enemies. This is why Voltaire said: “There was only one Christian, and he was crucified.”
Muslims are not just directed to fight. It becomes their duty to fight in certain contexts; like when your sister is sexually attacked in front of you! “Resist not evil!!!” Think of it: not resisting evil, will be the greatest encouragement for evil in this wicked world. Well, as I said, Islam is a practical religion. It enjoins upon its followers piety and devotion; prayer and fasting, charity and sacrifice; purity and sincerity; love and mercy.
On the other hand, it asks its followers to stand out firmly for justice, even if it is against their own kith and kin. Justice should be done to all, whether they are friends or foes. To ask us to love the enemy is to ask us to do something impractical. Still, we are commanded to do justice to them, to all. This in a nutshell is Islam. And Allah(God) knows best.
(I) INTRODUCTION TO JUDAISM:
Judaism is one of the important Semitic religions. Its followers are known as Jews and they believe in the prophetic mission of Prophet Moses (pbuh).
(II) CONCEPT OF GOD IN JUDAISM:
(i) The following verse from the book of Deuteronomy contains an exhortation from Moses (pbuh):
"Shama Israelu Adonai Ila Hayno Adna Ikhad"
It is a Hebrew quotation which means:
"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord"
[The Bible, Deuteronomy 6:4]
The following verses are from the Book of Isaiah:
(ii) "I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour."
[The Bible, Isaiah 43:11]
(iii) "I am Lord, and there is none else There is no God besides me."
[The Bible, Isaiah 45 : 5]
(iv) "I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me."
[The Bible, Isaiah 46:9]
(v) Judaism condemns idol worship in the following verses:
"Thou shalt have no other gods before me."
"Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth."
"Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them; for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God."
[The Bible, Exodus 20:3-5]
(iv) A similar message is repeated in the book of Deuteronomy:
"Thou shalt have none other gods before me."
"Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that in the earth beneath, or that is in the water beneath the earth."
"Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them; for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God."
[The Bible, Deuteronomy 5:7-9]
In Judaism too, we find the same thread of monotheism, that is seen in other religions.
(III) MUHAMMAD IN JEWISH SCRIPTURES (THE OLD TESTAMENT):
1) Muhammad (pbuh) prophesised in the book of Deuteronomy:
a) God Almighty speaks to Moses in Book of Deuteronomy chapter 18 verse 18:
"I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him."
b) Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is like Moses (pbuh):
i) Both had a father and a mother.
ii) Both were married and had children.
iii) Both were accepted as Prophets by their people in their lifetime.
iv) Both besides being Prophets were also kings i.e. they could inflict capital punishment.
v) Both brought new laws and new regulations for their people.
vi) Both died a natural death.
c) Muhammad (pbuh) is from among the brethren of Moses (pbuh). Arabs are brethren of Jews. Abraham (pbuh) had two sons: Ishmail and Isaac. The Arabs are the descendants of Ishmail (pbuh) and the Jews are the descendants of Isaac (pbuh).
d) Words in the mouth:
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was unlettered and whatever revelations he received from God Almighty he repeated it verbatim.
Deuteronomy (18:18):
"I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him."
2) Muhammad (pbuh) is prophesised in the book of Isaiah:
It is mentioned in the book of Isaiah chapter 29 verse 12:
"And the book is delivered to him that is not learned saying, ‘Read this, I pray thee’; and he saith, ‘I am not learned’.
"When Archangel Gabriel commanded Muhammad (pbuh) by saying ‘Iqra’, he replied "I am not learned".
3) Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is mentioned by name in the Song of Solomon
chapter 5 verse 16:
"Hikko Mamittakim we kullo Muhammadim Zehdoodeh wa Zehrace Bayna Jerusalem."
"His mouth is most sweet: ye, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughter of Jerusalem."
All the prophecies mentioned in the Old Testament regarding Muhammad (pbuh) besides applying to the Jews also hold good for the Christians (H Q. 61:6).

There aren't many differences and I say this because both christianity & islam are offshoots of the torah which goes back to judaism
The major difference is that muslims have rejected the new testament teachings of the bible & focus on the old testament
Christ is a prophet & messiah in islam but not the son of god or god & god is considered not to have any helpers; in christianity Christ is the messiah, son of god & god come to earth in the flesh as Jesus Christ;
In christianity & islam- both believe christ will return to earth
Judaism- I only understand some jews do not believe in christ as the messiah but today you have jews for jesus & there's also the messianic jews who observe dietary laws etc. but believe in Jesus Christ
I don't consider which of these religions makes sense because I don't believe in religion or any of their labels, either you believe in a holy spirit, the one spirit or in a being who oversees the universe, religion separates ppl from one another when faith in one spirit should actually bring ppl together instead of separating us.

You tell me. Here is some information on Judaism:
www.jewfaq.org
There are three major sects of Judaism: Orthodox, Conservative, and Reform. I will give the Orthodox view on things here. All of them basically accept what we call Rambam's Thirteen Principles which sum up what Jews basically believe in:
1. G-d exists
2. G-d is one and unique
3. G-d is incorporeal (nonmaterial)
4. G-d is eternal
5. G-d alone is to be worshipped and no other
6. G-d's prophets are truthful
7. Moses was the greatest of the prophets
8. The whole Torah was given to Moses on Mt. Sinai (Written and Oral)
9. There will be no other Torah and the Torah will not be changed or annulled
10. G-d has foreknowledge of men's actions, thoughts, and words
11. G-d will deliver retribution
12. The Messiah will come
13. The dead will be resurrected at the coming of Moshiach (Messiah)
[Please note that Conservative and Reform generally have a differing opinion on #8.]
Messiah (Moshiach):
Judaism does NOT believe that the messiah will be divine. He will be a mortal, normal person like us who knows Jewish law and follows it all. (I think there is a midrash that says that every Jewish child before being born knows all of the Torah and law inside and out--but in being born, s/he forgets all of it and must learn again. The messiah will be the one who does not forget.) He will fulfill all of the prophecies without dying first, and will only come ONCE. He will not die, because in showing himself he will have accomplished world peace and the resurrection of the dead and established the World to Come on this world, etc.
Judaism believes that only you can be responsible for your sins. Nobody else can take them on or ask forgiveness on your behalf. Yes, we used to do animal sacrifices, but not at every sin because sacrifice alone could not atone for sin. We would do it at festivals and holidays. Still, sacrifice alone cannot atone for sin (and human sacrifice is ABHORRED by G-d). To atone for sins, a person must do teshuva, which includes: 1. recognizing the sin [knowing you did wrong] and feeling remorse for it 2. asking forgiveness of the wrong by the person you wronged (example: if you broke a Jewish law, you apologize to G-d, but if you broke your neighbor's favorite flowerpot, you must apologize to your neighbor for no one else can forgive you) 3. try to right the wrong you did--if you broke the flowerpot, either buy a new one or try to repair the old one sufficiently 4. actively resolve and try not to commit the wrong again--if you broke a law, create a reminder for yourself so that next time the opportunity comes up, you will remember.
We do not believe in proselytizing because we believe that nobody has to be Jewish to warrant a place in heaven. A non-Jew has as much right to the World to Come as a Jew does--a Jew just has more rules to follow to get there. We do accept converts (we are NOT a race!!) although it is a hard road because Judaism is a hard life to live. [notice I say life, not religion. Judaism is a way of life, not just a religion.] It takes years of study to convert and the rabbi wants to make sure the convert is sincere because nobody wants to waste at least a year of the rabbi's life (or the convert's life, for that matter). Once you are Jewish you can never be a non-Jew again UNLESS you take on another believe system directly contrary to Judaism's. For example, you can be an atheist but still be Jewish because your believe system does not contradict with Judaism--you do not believe in G-d, but you don't believe in another false god either. But you cannot be a Jewish Xtian because Xtianity is contrary to Judaism. If you are a Jew and suddenly start to believe in Xtianity, you are an apostate and not Jewish unless you repent and come home to Judaism.
We have two books: the Tanakh and the Talmud. The Tanakh contains Torah, Nevi'im (Prophets) and Ketuv'im (Writings)--> TNK--> TaNaKh. The Tanakh contains the Written Torah while the Talmud contains the Oral Torah plus the commentaries on the laws written by our sages and rabbis over history. (Oral Torah written down=Mishna, a part of the Talmud and commentary=Gemara, the other part of the Talmud)
Judaism is a religion of arguing. You hear the phrase "two Jews, three opinions," and it's completely true. One of our texts is a book of arguments on the laws. So the Judaism you get in one Jew is not necessarily the Judaism you get in another Jew, although most will have all I've said here in common.
I hope I've covered as much as possible while keeping it simple. If you need any more information or detail, feel free to IM me or drop me an email. Hope I've been helpful.
Peace,
L.S.

They all (supposedly) Believe in the one God creator of the worlds.
There was REV.1
The Jewish faith led that faith but its people failed to follow the teaching of the prophets sent by God to follow the ten commandments.
Then came REV.2, Jesus was born to correct the FAITH and bring Jews to the fold of the ONE GOD, Jews as usual rejected Jesus and killed him (as it appeared to them).
Then REV.3 brought again to warn The Jews about the last chance to repent, and for the Christians to follow the straight line of faith.
So you see there is no NEW/DIFFERENT religion, it was all the same MESSAGE from God to Repent and worship the one and only one GOD and admit his messenger Mohamed just like the messengers before him.

Jews don't accept Jesus as the Messiah. Muslims (I may not be exactly right but I'll guess at this) believe that Jesus wasn't supposed to be worshiped and most of their beliefs system is based on the prophet Muhammed. Christians accept Jesus as the Messiah. They all believe in the same God.
I'm Catholic and I have Jewish friends and their beliefs are surprisingly similar to mine. They have a Muslim temporarily living in their house too.
Christianity teaches fear and love of God as well as spreading peace.
Israel is so close to the U.S. because the U.S. helped create Isreal. After Hitler, we had a bunch of Jews we didn't kow what exactly to do with and they didn't want to go anywhere besides Israel because if they went to another country sooner or later they'd be put into slavery again. (They're always slaves one way or another) We were going to ship them somewhere and they took over the ship and sailed to Israel. In the end they won. Christianity is the only true religion, Judism doesn't believe in Jesus and neither does islam. The Holy Bible says God is a God of Love, he created us in his image, John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that who soever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus Christ, the son of God came in the flesh to earth to die for our sins, He was the only perfect man ever on planet earth, no other religion believes this, Christs Love for manking is easily seen in his followers, take Hurricane Katrina, been there, miss, and NO, saw only Christians helping clean up. No other religion was there, When you get saved and the Holy Spirit comes into your heart sent by Jesus for believing in him, you will automatically have a love for people that has nothing to do with emotions, because emotions go away, Love abides forever, Jesus died on a cross and arose from the grave to wash away our sins, every Easter we celebrate this, he was a perfect sacrifice, the Bible says none is righteous no not one so Jesus came this his perfect blood would cover our sins, if you would like to be saved just say this simple prayer, Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

Mary was once a virgin, Jesus was once a miracle, he had no longer sin that's why whilst he was once sacrificed it made some way out of hell for us. Mohamed was once an evil guy who had guys and youngsters murdered, and took their females. He raped younger ladies, and stated that it was once Alla who advised him to do it. Which is a lye, it is going towards the whole lot within the Bible. I do not know something approximately Judism.

Muslim perspective............... We all came from Adam and Eve. We belive in all the prophets of the christians and the bible, in the jews torah and other holy books that came prior to islam. here is a little islam 101:
-Allah - God proper name without a plural or gender reference
-angels, hell, heaven
- you are born innocent free of any sin
-jesus virgin birth
-adam and eve ( they were both blamed in the sin)
-we believe in all the prophets of the bible
-we believe in the previous scriptures like the bible, torah etc.. but in their original format ( it's been altered by man) .
- the quran is the last holy book to mankind
-no priests in islam, you have realtionship to god
-christians know that jesus used to greet people by saying peace be upon you , fast for 40 days, pray by putting his face to the ground, perform abulution, not eat pork, women used to cover their hair etc....... the only community doing all this today is the muslims! Why would you accept a book that has been revised by any man?? jesus is a respected man in islam and he was just a prophet of god who came to confirm the belief in only one god like many prophets did before him. God allowed this miracle birth to happen as a sign for mankind and allowed him to perform miracles like other prophets by god's permission. He neevr claimed to be god and the christians actual documented "sayings" of jesus were only enough to barley fill up a small newspaper column up with! there are many more examples i could give you. the best website I've found that shows you videos without listening to a bunch of religious talk to convince you, it has real people like you that questions about religion is thedeenshow.com and click on shows and go to formet christian youth group minister joshua Evans . Let me know what you think

One of the big differences is that Christians have a Savior (the Son of God (Jesus)) that died for our sins on the cross, and was raised on the third day - HE IS ALIVE! By His death and resurrection, we now have eternal life.

If one must generalize...
If you hit a Jew, he will hit you back ten times or until it would become unthinkable for you to hit him again. In addition, you and your future generations will have to pay for it.
If you hit a Christian, he will turn the other cheek. But if he follows "Caesar" as well as God, which is generally the case, he will punch your lights out. The Christian will never forget and will keep reminding you of that incident with sombre looks. He may even commemorate that every year.
If you hit a Muslim, he will either hit you back once or he may choose to forgive you. Eventually, he will forget it altogether.
