That happened to my dad. He was having such bad pains that they took him to the emergency room. He was even admitted overnight because the initial tests didn't show any heart problems. It ended up being really sever gas

God Yes! I was having some kind of gas attack so bad in my stomach one time that I couldn't move except to bend over to the pain. I had been keeping 7Up in the fridge for such emergencies but this was the worst. I couln't move. Hubby ran and got it and I managed to drink half of it although I was certain I wouldn't be able to keep it down. I did though, & I eventually started burping and getting some relief in about 5 minutes. That was really scary. The pain was excruciating and
I knew that wasn't normal at all.
I called the next day and made a Dr. appt and went through an upper G.I.
I was diagnosed with "Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease or G.E.R.D." and put on a single daily 20mg Omeprazole capsule (generic for Prilosec) and have had absolutely not one recurrance since and that's been about 8 yrs ago now. And God I'm so thankful too.
I can readily see now why folks think they're having a heart attack !!

Well, I'm not laughing at you. Seriously, you could very well be developing what is called GERD. Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease. Call a Gastroenterologist Monday and make an appt. to be checked. They can put you on a specific diet or just let you know which foods to avoid, like chocolate, caffiene, tomatoes and some others and don't eat after 7 p.m. No worries, good medicines out there for different things. good luck. I know where you've been.

Oh yeah, been their done it, you feel like you need to burp and at times you do, its a scary feeling. This is why so many people die from heart attacks, cause they think its only gas, when in reality their dying, so do know what to look for, if you have any other symtoms, like tingling in left arm, dizziness, headache, upset stomach etc, go to your local ER. Good Luck!

Yes. Definetly. Not only did it feel like a heart attack, but it spread to my FACE. That's right, I had facial pain, neck, arm, throat and shoulder pain. That's how bad it was. I took Pepcid AC, and Chamomile Tea. When you're in that much pain, you can't get rid of it fast enough. Whatever it was that you ate. Don't eat it again. For me it was Pizza, and it also happens with Hot Dogs.
