My friend is diabetic and she has just a plain diabetic bracelet. For her b-day I want to make he a pretty one by making different beaded bands. But, I need the actual plate thing that says diabetic. So, my question is, where can I get a regular diabetic bracelet??

Many pharmacies have bracelets and pendants to identify various ailments and allergies. They only cost a few bucks. You can get them with diabetic already engraved or you can get a blank one and have it engraved for a couple of bucks at a jewelry store. I got a blank one and had my name and an emegency contact phone number engraved on one side and my medical issue on the otherside. Really thoughtful gift. You must be a great friend!

Some chemist stores sell a metal piece with different medical conditions printed on them,Or you may have to contact a medical alert bracelet manufacturer

Walgreen and Walmart have these bracelets for very little $$. You can get one and take it apart.
I love my anklet!! It is fashionable and not noticible except by medics and other people who wear Medical IDs. I have several bands I can use with the tag.
Just try any drug store and ask at the drug counter!!

Gosh, I love the idea. Hope you don't mind if I borrow it. My daughter does jewelry and my sister and I are both diabetic. That would be a great gift. What a thoughtful friend you are!

Drugstores like Walgreens have them near the pharmacy
if you can't find it, ask the pharmacist, they might be able to point you in the right direction
