Go to your health department and explain your fears and what you went through. They'll take it from there.

My niece went through that. A very pretty young girl, thought she had syphilis because her husband thought she turned him in for drugs and was thrown in jail. she never saw him again, she lived in fear, thinking he told her the truth, she lived in fear and never had another affair with another man for over thirty years. She's now 55 years old and has just met a man she fell in love with. She now knows how foolish she was and, how easy it was to be checked.

If it is at the late stage, you are probably in trouble. The result is pretty accurate. Talk to your doctor about it. Even though you get it, it is curable.

You must take another test. One test is not enough to confirm your diagnosis. You can take another serology test like VDRL, FTA-Abs, TPHA and TPPA or ELISA. To choose with test you are going to use, ask your doctor
