It's a large oblong platter I use for sushi, cheeses, fruits ... just about anything.
Favourite food or recipe ... gosh where to begin. I suppose it really depends on the season. Certainly l-o-v-e my first tomatoes in the summer, all warmed by the sun MMMMMMMMM.
Summer - tomato, mozzarella and basil salad
Fall - copper coin salad (carrots with whole green beans)
Winter - a good casserole or pot roast with mashed potatoes and lashings of gravy
Spring - New Zealand Lamb, cooked anyway

I love using Hondashi for soup. I can even marinate Hondashi with fish as well. It can be used for stir fry udon as well as cooking it with vegetables.
