My nan is 70 on the 6th October so my mum, grandad and uncle are arranging a suprise party for her.

She's not your averge (almost) 70 year old woman, she looks about 50 and she's still cool and "with it". She is like a second mum to me, not a nan.

I'd love to add something special to the evening that she won't ever forget. I have 2 sisters (15 & 11) and a brother (4) and I'd like to get them involved too (I'm 18 by the way).

Any suggestions?

A history scrap book, ask all invited to bring things to contribute. Use a video camera to record the day and ask people to say something about her. Also have a sign in book for people to add their wishes and thoughts.

Why don't you guys work up some sort of skit? One of you can play her if you want and another can play another adult family member. Base it on something that happened that made all of you laugh.

You have enough with your sisters and brother to put together a decent cast. Your brother will have to have fairly simple lines and it might be best if he plays himself.

I'd put together a "story of your life" slide show for her, with you and your siblings narrating it... it would be cool for her to see her self grow up in a slide show with her grand kids telling the story of it in front of everyone.. she would never forget... we did this for my parents 50th anniversary, and they loved it!
