I'm getting new insulin pump soon. I have selected the Minimed Paradigm 722. This pump will best suit my lifestyle. I'm also getting the CGM (continuous glucose monitoring) that is an option for the 722.
Any other users out there? What do you think of the 722? I have done my research and this pump will just be the best one for me.
My current (first and so far, only) pump is an 8 year old Minimed 508 that, while it works okay, is due for replacement. The warranty is long gone and it does have a couple of problems (does not hold memory when changing batteries, does not hold power as long as it used to, buttons are hard to push...it's just wearing out).
In the event that my insurance will not cover the CGM, I will get the glucose meter that goes with that pump so the results can be transmitted to the pump for more accurate dosing).
I'd like some opinions. Even if you use another pump brand, I'd like to hear about experiences with them...good or bad.

Yes, I am aware that CGM does not eliminate finger stick testing.
Minimed told me that most insurances will pay for the CG after the first of the year, once they have the procedure code for it.
I know my chances of getting the CGM now are slim.
