First boil the Udon noodles in chicken broth, not water. Season the chicken broth with onions, salt, pepper, and roasted garlic. The Udon noodles will absorb the broth. Drain the Udon noodles and lightly sautee them with olive oil and soy sauce. Serve the noodles with the broth on the side.

Bring the water up to a boil and then add the frozen noodles. The noodles will separate on their own as they cook.
I usually add tamari or veggie bullion to the water before adding the noodles for extra flavor.

First defrost the noodles, either with water or by leaving it out on the counter for a while.
Then boil some water and add the noodles.
Cook them for about 5mins.

yes! boil them in hot water, that's it! just make sure they dont become too soft if you boil it too long. If you want to stir fry them, after boiling them, stir fry it with Hondashi. It is a great taste enhancers which many Japanese use in miso soup as well.
Hondashi: http://ajinomotofoods.com/pages/products/products.asp?nav=32&dl=1&dg=b2
They are in all ethnic supermarkets I think.
