It sounds like you are having heart palpitations, which can be caused by a number of factors. Do you find that your palpitations occur when you are overly stressed? Stess can be a major cause. Anxiety/panic attacks may be accompanied by heart palpitations. Think about your caffeine intake. Excessive amounts of caffeine may also trigger palpitations, so you may want to limit or remove caffeine from your diet. Cutting out caffeine has reduced my own palpitations. Speaking of diet, palpitations may be caused by electrolyte imbalances, so drink plenty of water and take a daily vitamin. My mother-in-law has palpitations due to low potassium, so you may want to eat such food as bananas, which are high in potassium. I myself have a heart condition known as mitral valve prolapse; it means that my mitral valve does not close properly, and as a result I get the occasional palpitation. It is not in most cases a serious heart condition and fairly common. Often, a doctor may hear a murmur when listening to your heart. It is a condition diagnosed with an echocardiogram. You may want to see about wearing a heart monitor, which would record these episodes over a period of times and have a doctor study the results. When you're very worried about palpitations, you become more aware and sensitive to having them, so try to control your anxiety a bit. Here is a link to the Mayo Clinic's symptom checker:

It is possible that it can just be effects from your anxiety attacks, but anytime its anything to do with your heart, its always better to be cautious and go to a doctor to get checked out just to be safe.
A lot of times if your heart is beating funny or irregular like you're describing, it can be a type of cardiac arrythmia. Sometimes they're just palpitations, and just more annoying than anything, sometimes they can lead to arterial or ventricular fibrilation (v-fib is when you need an defibrillator to revive you), so it can be serious.
I would also urge your mother to go to the doctor as well and have herself checked out, because a lot of times cardiac conditions can be prevented. A lot of people who have myocardial infarctions (heart attacks) have several warning signs leading up to it, not to mention that they may have had previous "silent attacks" without ever knowing it, that are only detected on an electrocardiogram. Don't take any chances, and get yourself checked out.

It was really an incredible letter for a 13 year old, you couldbe a creative story writer. I mean it is so mature and descriptive. Up to the point where you blackmailed her with 'if you don't like me back, stuff. Thats where you went OVER board. Telling her if she doesnt like you that you will be scarred, and her life will altar is way off and glad it wasnt ever sent. You would scare off any just turned 13 years old girl. Tone it down some, and it would be a letter a girl could keep forever.

Try to find an intergrative physician who is not controlled by the philosophy of the pharmaceutical drug cartels, who push toxic, dangerous, synthetic drugs for everything, but most of all,for profit and greed. The big drug companies are certainly not interested in peoples good health, as their only concern is making big money and keeping the nation sick. A good naturopathic doctor will probably prescribe Coenzyme Q-10 as one of the natural remedies for your heart condition. I urge you to do a Web Search on Coenzyme Q-10, and you will find very good information about this miracle nutrient, that no conventional doctor will ever tell you. Good luck.

The blood pressure monitor will not help a lot. Irregular heartbeats can have several causes ranging from nothing to really worry about to life-threatening.
You may spend a day wearing what is called a Holter monitor, basically a portable EKG machine. This will record any irregularities with clues to the causes.
See a cardiac specialist, please.

It sounds like anxiety. But you should mention it to your doctor. If he/she confirms that it is anxiety you may benefit from anti - anxiety meds.
