Umm… can I ask WHY anyone would want to eat the skin of a banana? Wouldn’t it be better to use the skin of the banana as compost for your garden?

And no, I myself would not eat the skin of a banana.

when making banana milk shake why not try blending the skin up with the shake, dont see that it would cause any harm to you , i think it would add a bit of zest/kick to your shake, but you have made me wonder what it would taste like.. But dont take my word for it ask the monkeys cause them boys just eat the whole shaboom.

Yes you can, But note , bananas are sprayed with a lot of pesticides will kill you if you continue to eat the skin.
If your gonna try it, go for an Organic banana skin.

You can eat anything that can get down your oesophagus - some things aren't a good idea though - I'd stick to the bananas themselves for now.

I don't know if you could eat it as is. *gag* But maybe you can cook with it, grate the yellow of the peel. And maybe you can use it in banana bread. Or maybe stir it into oatmeal.

*DISCLAIMER*

I really don't know, hence the use of MAYBE. I was making it up as I go. I bet it would be a really good source of fiber. But the thought of eating it raw = ICK!!!

Yes.

Alternatively, banana peels can be used in many recipes. Banana peels are a main ingredient in many east-Indian desserts and main courses
