I am having a party this weekend and have no idea what to serve. What would wow my guests, tastes great, easy to cook, and not break the bank. I know I am asking a lot. Any ideas would be great. I am also open to Crock Pot recipes because I don't like to cook when company is at the house.

Here's an idea.

Easy Crock Pot Meatballs

2 packages precooked meatballs
1 jar chili sauce
1 jar welch's grape jelly

In a large crock pot, combine all ingredients and set to cook on high.
Let cook at least 6 hours, stirring every so often.

Chicken wings (buy a large bag of frozen chicken wings & thaw). Place in a pan large enough to hold them. Mix together 1 bottle teriyaki sauce, 2 tsp ground ginger, 4 cloves minced garlic, 1/2 brown sugar & pour over wings. Marinate 2-3 hours. Line cookie sheets with foil, spray with cooking spray. Bake wings 20 minutes, turn over & bake 20-30 minutes more or until cooked thru. Garnish with pineapple chunks, bell pepper pieces, mandarin oranges and/or maraschino cherries. You can cook these early enough so they are done before the guests arrive-they're good at room temp.
Meatballs (put a couple bags of thawed meatballs into your crockpot, pour 1 1/2 c. bbq sauce over & mix. Cook on low 4-6 hours).
Chips/veggies & salsa/dip (but the premade dip from the deli)
Cheese & crackers
Have fun.

buy a chuck roast and put it in the crock pot with two packages of lipton onion soup mix, and some seasoning. cook on low for about 8 hours. it will just fall apart. serve on buns, for roastbeef sandwiches. it is sooo good. serve with chips and dip. or fries.

I agree with Kat...I often do this with a roast, and then when tender shred and add barbecue sauce and serve on buns. Make a relish tray with lots of fresh vegetables and something to dip them in.

Or make a big batch of wings.....easy to do ahead in the oven...

Get an assortment of deli cold cuts, cheese, great bread, and let everyone male their own sandwiches or subs.....

Make you own sundaes for dessert.
