if i decline it, i'll be thirsty, and it will still go to the dump anyway.
if i accept it, that would be like promoting styrofoam.
so what do i do to not be a bad person?

I say you accept it, enjoy the drink. Not doing so would be rude. Just don't buy styrofoam, or when having your own party don't use it. Maybe they'll catch on....Besides, you're at a party lighten up....maybe they couldn't afford to serve in crystal..that styrofoam cup will not save the planet however, your being the one person who refused the styrofoam cup will totally alienate you

its nice that you want to do your part to keep our world clean, but if you have ever taken an ecology course you would know that even if all polution ceased today, it would take at least a millenia to clean all of it up, and couldn't be done cleanly with today's technolgy....so long story short, if you get a cup drink from it...who knows you might get lucky and there might be some lsd in it.....at least that way you wouldn't worry about styrofoam...just if the carpet is really moving like that....and if your friend's face is melting

use it, throw it out, and accept it as a part of life. you can't save the world with a styrofoam cup, advocating against it, refusing to use it. its just a part of life

Styrofoam is small stuff compared to Rolphenol (the date rape drug) that could be in a drink handed to you. Get your own drink in whatever container you choose.
