I am thinking the person said "kelp." All sea weeds have high iodine. 1/3 cup of kelp has 2114% of Daily value for iodine. (2114% isn't a typo). Kelp can be soaked in water and then pan fried until it's crisp like a flaky chip.
Kale is a dark leafy green that has calcium and, if memory serves, potassium.

Raw kale contains 1.4 mcg of iodine, see below:

"One caveat about kale. Kale does contain goitrogen, a naturally-occurring substance which can interfere with the functioning of the thyroid gland. Therefore, if you have thyroid problems, you might want to avoid kale. Also, while much research is suggesting the link between certain foods and disease prevention, it’s always a good idea to check with a medical professional if you have medical concerns or are starting a new diet regimen."

You have been misinformed:
Etodolac is the International Nonproprietary Name (INN) of 1,8-diethyl-1,3,4,9-tetrahydropyrano-[3,4-b]indole-1-acetic acid (empirical formula C17H21NO3), also sold under the trade name Lodine. It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It is used to treat pain associated with arthritis and other conditions.
Kale: Kale (also called Borecole) is a form of cabbage (Brassica oleracea Acephala Group). Kale is considered to be one of the most highly nutritious vegetables, with powerful antioxidant properties and is anti-inflammatory. Kale is very high in beta carotene, vitamin C, lutein and zeaxanthin and reasonably rich in calcium.
