So, I was diagnosed again with BV, the first time was back in June, I was treated with Metrogel but now it came back and now I am back with the same gel again, the discharge is there and sometimes I feel pain in my abdomen. My 2 pap smears have tested abnormal but my hpv is negative. Will the gel help to clear this BV?
Any suggestions?

Maybe you should try asking your doctor for metronidazole (brand name is Flagyl). This is usually the number one prescribed antibiotic for BV.

I personally used it a few years ago when I had BV and it worked great. I haven't had a problem since then.

Good luck to you!

Usually the treatment for Bacterial Vaginosis is antibiotics such as metronidazole or clindamycin. I am sure the gel will work but if not ask your doctor about either of the antibiotics I listed.

There is this stuff called enzara that you get on line, clears is up(and the odor ) in about a week. The trick is... you've got to stay on the pills and drink plenty of water. They are herbal and no prescription is needed. It worked for me, hope this helps!
