Eggplants and tomatoes are actually members of the nightshade family, as well as peppers, potatoes, and zucchini. There is some superstition surrounding eating these fruits (they are technically fruits, not vegetables) because of their family.

The nightshade family does have some poisonous members, such as Jimson weed and belladonna.

You will be fine eating eggplant and tomatoes.

AND QUIT WORRYING ABOUT BEING FAT. Sheesh.

Eggplant will not make you fat, and neither will tomatoes. Eggplant is a great meat substitute in Italian food, and one that you can usually get by request in Italian restaurants.

For really good eggplant: slice it into long, thin strips. Coat the strips with olive oil and whatever seasoning you prefer (I use seasoned salt). Then throw them on the grill or in the oven until you start to see a hint of black. Cut them into smaller pieces and put them into your pasta sauce, and then eat the rest as a snack.

First of all, "sexy" is completely subjective and most of it comes from between your ears. What one guy finds sexy another won't.

Second, it's perfectly fine to grill your eggplant.

Third, moderation, moderation, moderation--too much of anything is bad for you.

Fourth, as long as you don't eat more calories than you burn, you probably won't gain weight. Yes, some people are predisposed to being fat, but if you aren't, then it probably won't. And stop worrying about being fat. If you fit in one seat on a bus or train, you're not fat.

Try roasting instead of grilling.
Take a whole egg plant. Make holes with fork on all sides. Rub oil all over and roast it on open flame till skin is nearly burnt. Cool it then remove skin and discard the skin.
Mash the flesh of eggplant.
Add chopped tomatoes and onions.
Add 1 tsp finely chopped ginger/garlic
Add some finely chopped green chili and fresh coriander leaves.
Add salt and little sugar to taste.
Add spoonful of chili powder and 2 tbs roasted peanuts.
Drizzle spoon ful peanut oil or extra virgin olive oil and serve with multi grain bread

Eggplants have virtually no nutrients at all. Grill it, and the majority of the nutrition comes from the grease you grill it in.

If you want to feel sexy, you need to get some cholesterol in your system. Cholesterol is a chemical precursor not just for Vitamin D but for the sex hormones.

That's one of the reasons why so many vegetarians look like they are all dried up - no cholesterol in their diet. It's also a reason why so many vegetarians die young. Anorexia, whether general or selective, is really hard on your body.

Its a delicious food indeed. Egg Plant in large can cause allergic in certain cases. Instead of grilling it, boil it (cook it) above boiling point at least for 2 mins. That helps a lot to subside the toxins in it. In general, people will illness related to lungs and spleen shall keep themselves away from eggplant.
