She seams a nice girl a little naive and easily led maybe but she has the intelligence to come and ask questions and you lot treat her like an animal. She must be shocked that people with such high ethical/ moral standrds can be so maliciously offensive. I put it down to your diets but then no one wants to talk about that do they? Her question about onions is a good question and has some basis in truth and deserves an answer. stop treating her like she is sub human you self centred pillocks

Michael H wow you stun me with your encyclopeadic knowledg of wher Ashleys questions are... but you still can't answer a question without making offence remarks. You still haven't told me how told find your wonderful sanctuary for poor abandoned animals. Does it exist? or is it the imaginations of a rabid meat denied existense. Please note the vast majority of answers which have come from the clearly veggie brigade all contain some type of aggressive or offensive comment as I have been asking for a while now which of the essential chemicals we get from meat that the veggies dont get is the one i need to put in a pill. I also note that you must have plenty of time on yoru hands as a group all the answers I get. Also that you tend to make sure you vote for any answer which supports the view of someone that is against your collective view i.e. in this case me. The instincts undoubtedly of pack animals

Michael H WOW very clever you found out who I am LOL I don't pick on you or single you out at all apart from you seem to be the one that gives the most answers to my questions even if every single one has a hint of anger and malice. As for where I live well you have no idea have you ever left the rural idle in which you live with your poor abandoned "commercially exploited" animals. Although you do "answer" more questions than anyone else you never really answer do you ... just find a little bt of something to chew on a snipe, a jibe, a tease or an insult but never a well thought out correctly and courteously worded answer. I repeat again i have nothing against you guys being veggie; in fact; truth be known a long time ago before it was fashionable or in the beginning of when it was becoming fashionable in this country I owned and operated the first restaurant outside London to have a specific veggie content on the menu. Approximately 30% of the menu content was veggie. Dont judge ***

Michael H Just a thought as it appears from your research that you now know evrything there is to know about me. LOL and everything about you is private , you dont IM, cant e mail you directly, network is private, and you also seem to be a particularly weak knowledge of geography is it not possible that in actual fact it is you that is the TROLL. If you can't give a proper answer dont answer my questions at all. P.S. If you knew anything about food at all you would know that "FRESH" fish from Grimsby or anywhere else for that matter doesn't smell.
If smell is such an issue I suggest you stop eating veggies because most of them have an odour. LOL

You say she's "treated like an animal" - since she puts animals before humans, that's probably OK with her. I landed on this subject in error one night and came across one of Ashley's "tirades" - cos that's EXACTLY what they are! She gives Vegetarians and Vegans a bad name with her ranting about meat eaters, etc. The gospel according to Ashley puts animals first - as already stated - and that is just not right! I'd love to find out just how many V & V's (the "holier than thou" ones) take (or HAVE taken) antibiotics. I did ask her but never got a reply - maybe cos it wouldn't have been a truthful answer? If she's gonna ACT like a sub human, she'll get treated like one.
SWAN CRAZY DOT: The operative word is PET. I don't have pet coos, pigs or sheep - and I'm quite sure the majority of meat-eaters don't either!
ASHLEIGH: Why the capital "H" at her and she? When did she become a deity? BTW: Do YOU know what you're talking about?

This forum is actually suppose to be about food and drink but I've noticed that there is a lot of posts that don't have anything to do with food. Now come on David V do you seriously expect to come to the vegetarian/vegan section of yahoo answers and see pro meat sentiment, it's not going to happen! This is a small area that is set aside just for veggie people to share food and beverage ideas. Sometimes to share ideas about veggie products that aren't foods but it is still along the same subject. Surely there must be a place on the internet that you and others like you who want only to bash and argue vegetarian vs non vegetarian ideas to go to besides here. I agree with you about the onion thing, however she did kind of initiate the sarcasm and she could have looked up all that stuff before she asked, it seemed as though she only asked it to be able to prove people wrong. Onions and garlic are like most things there are good and bad things about them. For normal healthy people they have health benefits and a few healing properties for those who are ill and yes they can irritate in some cases.
You remarked that our diets make us testy, you know that isn't so. People of all types get testy at one time or another. And yes we do want to talk about our diets, again this is the Food and Drink, vegetarian & vegan section. Expect that if are against us then you will receive a negative response. If you want positive reactions for pro meat eaters go to a different section. I would prefer to find only suitable subjects when I come here.
You are critical about people who spend too much time online. Since you seem to have such in depth knowledge about Ashley and her questions and those who have answered her then you too must spend a great deal of time online. Let's face it, we all do...nothing wrong with that.
Please keep in mind that this is a place for veggies not meaties.

Because it's HILARIOUS.
She had the nerve to call me blind to the truth, after I've given lots of answers (and several best answers) to people asking about how to become a vegetarian/vegan and ways to get protein besides meat.
She likes to ask absolutely ridiculous questions (pertaining to her boyfriend liking to smell her flatulence, milking bulls, and mountain gorillas) and never bothering to even select a best answer, she just lets them all go to voting because she doesn't CARE enough to choose one.
I have no problems with anyone else on this site. For instance, sandstorms_brother and I don't see eye to eye at all, but we respect each others opinions. Micheal H, Frank S, and black_byrus all have fantastic answers and are very knowledgeable. I love reading their answers and by the way... I eat meat.
I have NEVER told anyone to stop being veg*n and so therefore, I hate being told to stop eating meat!
She only comes on here to annoy people and she's done a fabulous job of alienating EVERYONE, veg*ns and meat eaters alike.
Don't call ME a self-centered pillock (whatever the hell that is) when you're the one posting about poor, defenseless Ashley.
I see Michael H has provided you with several of her old POS questions, I suggest you read up.
Oh, and mind your own business.
Have a nice day. :)

You obviously haven't read her past questions. She's been here since may and most of the regulars on here are convinced she is a troll to make us vegs look bad. She constantly asks identical questions just to get a reaction from people. Many of her questions are about her boyfriend enjoying her flatulance, bits in her faeces and the rest are her preaching her ethics. She asks a question, we answer, then she says that we're wrong, she's an expert in the field and that we're all morons.... well if she knew the answer already then why post here? Because she just wants a reaction from us because she's a troll.
Please don't call us pillocks when you don't know the facts

If I have offended Ashley I, sincerely do apologise, I decided my answer to the "onions" question was quite in order, and feel sure the lady in question is a very nice kind, and considerate person who also has two legs rather than four.
Yes,I agree, her question did have basis in truth and deserved a good answer.I promise with all my heart not to treat her like she is a sub human, - from a self centred pillock.
P.S. Bless you my child - you must be a wonderful friend. xxx

Because she is a **** who reports everyone, just for answering her questions, and then she has the nerve to post complete nonsense, and gets upset because she gets replies that she herself does not agree with. Her posts include, but are not limited to, drinking bull milk, her boyfriend enjoying the smell of her farts, and my personal favorite, should she hold a demonstration on her neighbors driveway. Again, Michael H had given you the posts to her questions, so read and be warned.

Why not?
It's fun picking on her, she's soooooo entertaining.
My favourite is when she adds stuff, like you do. She goes completely off her head reporting & insulting everyone who disagrees. In some cases, she even insults those who give her good answers.
If she wasn't very smart, I'd feel sorry for her... but she's like that bossy know-it-all kid who acts all grown up.
Oh did you know her stockbroker boyfriend who's too old for her likes to smell her farts?... how can anyone not pick on that? Sorry, I'm not that mature. HAHAHA
Personally, I do it cos I can't help myself.

First, she asks about onions saying nothing about thiosulfate, and then she gets all upset because people are making fun of her and posts that thiosulfate is toxic.
In fact, thiosulfate is non-carcinogenic, and non-mutagenic, and there is NO KNOWN CASE of anyone dying from eating large quantities of thiosulfate. The worst consequence known is diarrhea.
She *is* subhuman, sir: a troll. The only question is whether you're a sodding idiot for standing up for her, or just her sock puppet.
And I didn't see anyone there who was focused on ANYONE except Ashley. She's the only self-centered pillock.
Those who vandalize community resources typically incite the community to ostracize her. Yahoo Answers is a community, and if there was a way to ex-communicate her, she'd be damned to hell.

To quote Anthony Bourdain, with whom I fully agree with on the subject of vegetarians and vegans,
"Vegetarians, and their Hezbollah-like splinter faction, the vegans, are a persistent irritant to any chef worth a damn. To me, life without veal stock, pork fat, sausage, organ meat, demi-glace, or even stinky cheese is a life not worth living. Vegetarians are the enemy of everything good and decent in the human spirit, and an affront to all I stand for, the pure enjoyment of food. The body, these waterheads imagine, is a temple that should not be polluted by animal protein. It's healthier, they insist, though every vegetarian waiter I've worked with is brought down by any rumor of a cold. Oh, I'll accommodate them, I'll rummage around for something to feed them, for a 'vegetarian plate', if called on to do so. Fourteen dollars for a few slices of grilled eggplant and zucchini suits my food cost fine."

Let's face it. Ashley was talking about trespassing on someone's lawn because they eat meat. You probably will not find a question that says: Should I go to some body's house cuz they eat brussel sprouts and I don't like sprouts, so therefore, I don't like those people and I feel it's my duty to sit on their property and tell them how I feel so they will change their mind so it copies my mind set? I appreciate Ashley' passion, but if she showed up on my lawn, I would be rather pissed off at her and her band of fruit-cakes (ooh cakes have eggs in it. Are you okay with eggs, or are they from the Devil too?) LMAO. Get a life, Ashley... eat yer veggies, and here, have mine too.
