Clever food boxes are offered at this site. They are quite inexpensive, but you can't purchase 5 or 10 of them. See if you like them.

Go to McDonald's and ask if you could have a couple boxes for your child's birthday party, ask to talk to the manager though, some of those teenagers think they know everything, and then, to make it unique, take construction paper and have your son draw pictures or you can find wrapping paper like superman or the theme of the party and wrap the boxes in that so it's unique. They may ask you to pay a couple $$ because they are using up stock, but that shouldn't be a problem, because either way, you would have to buy something; right? Good Luck, You sound very creative!

Shoe boxes make good containers, and can be discarded after use, along with the napkins, paper plates and empty chip sacks. Or, if you want to get fancy, you can decorate the shoe boxes with crepe paper or wallpaper samples, maybe make cut-outs that go along with the theme of the party. Baskets are also great containers, and can be taken home by the young party-goers, and reused for something else. Take a cue from McDonald's, and maybe they would be kind enough to let you have some of their "happy meal" boxes for a nominal cost, of course. Good luck!

You can go to a store like Smart and Final or Costco and get the Take out Chinese boxes and then decorate them with stickers. Or let the kids decorate their own? You can turn the lunch into a craft project . . .
Have fun!

I know at craft stores they sell chinese food container boxes. You could do an "old fashioned lunch pail." Get plastic sand buckets and you can even spray them to look metalic. Or, just do it easy, and get some white paper bags and decorate them w/you child's birthday theme.

I would try the oriental trading co, I don't remember it so do a google search for the website. If that doesn't work you could try just to google for unique gift bags/boxes.
Your idea sounds fun, I hope he has a great birthday!
