I've never camped there but people I know who have loved it. The had wild horses come up to their campsite one night and got to feed them. As far as free stuff to do, there's good surf fishing (although I don't know if it's free) and lots of beautifulk trails. Don't really know what you're looking for but as the other guy said, OC is just up the road. I know the park has a website: http://www.nps.gov/archive/asis/home.htm

YES...Great beaches great campsites.Hot Showers and "facilities"..lol (Yes you can wash your hair too!) Go Horseback riding on the beach, surf fishing, ...Ocean City, Maryland- Resort and Boardwalk...Shopping, food, spirits,live music..family activities for the oldest and youngest ...is just 15 minutes drive away. Have you left to come yet?...lol

this time of year less traffic and crowds . look for wine tasting places or free samples.still warm there into October.bring your own food to cook. and save money too. no camp firers aloud there. the bugs are less now. ride the waves.have fun you love it no matter what.
