thats so cute you put this question in heart diseases. honestly, the only thing that cures a broken heart is time. and you have to love yourself as well. take care of yourself, exersize, look your best everyday, keep busy, do things you love and surround yourself with people who love you. in no time you should be feeling better and eventually you wont even remember how it felt to have this broken heart.

Depends how deep the injury is; resulting in broken heart, this might be helpful:
Heal My Broken Heart:
How long will it last? How long before that empty feeling fades away?
You try to go about your daily routine, try not to think about it too much. But it keeps coming back, sweeping over you like a wave - that feeling in the pit of your stomach - you suck in a big breath of air. How long am I going to feel this way.
Welcome to Heal My Broken Heart. Here's the harsh reality of it - nothing really works - not completely anyway. There's no easy fix. But, in an attempt to help, we created this website. It has the best thinking available in terms of how to mend a broken heart.
Five Steps To Heal A Broken Heart:
1. The Heart-Repair Calculator.
Use this formula to calculate how long it will take your heart to recover.
2. Music - Potent Medicine.
Here are the artists and albums that provide the greatest healing power.
3. Write. Write. Read.
What to write, and what to read.
4. Back in time - a trip home.
A walk through your old neighborhood--mysteriously therapeutic.
5. Regaining Faith.
Getting a handle on managing your heart by hearing what your head has to say.
6. Step Six? Okay, this an optional 'bonus' step.
Treat yourself to a good-luck token.

If you want to shed the guy/gal like old fur, find another interest that you can really dig into; if possible, remove yourself as far physically as you can. If you must think of him/her, consider all his/her attributes that will lead to eventual failure as a mate.

Sorry but the best thing for this is time.... You can also try and keep your friends and family and people that care around you. Try and get rid of anything thats going to remind you of them. Out of side out of mind. I know how hard it is but its really imporant to try and stay postive, do things that you enjoy doing to try and keep your mind off them. It will get easyer its better to have loved and lost than never loved at all.
