I have a baguette and two small loaves of other crusty breads. What can I make with them? I work in a bakery but always wonder what people make w/these breads or how they eat them.

Bruschetta... Italian, slice in 1/2 in. rounds, place on baking sheet, drizzle with oil, bake a short time. Remove from oven, turn over and top slices with finely chopped tomato, basil, salt & Pepper and more olive oil. Grated cheese is optional. Serve.

You can cut slices and brush them with olive oil. Then you put a little of most any kind of cheese on the slices and run them under the broiler until the cheese is melty/toasty. Then you put little tomatoes or slices of tomatoes on top! OR you can add some basil leaves to it for added zip. You can brush them with olive oil and toast them, and then dip them in hot chocolate. YUM! Cut the loaf in half lengthwise. Scoop out the doughy part of the bread. Brush oil on the bread inside. Fill up the hollow with anything you want - ham, cheese, veggies, etc. Put the top on the sandwich and smash it real good so it is flat, kind of. Good sandwich!

Slice your baguette into 1/4 inch slices and top with 1 slice of gorgonzola cheese. Drizzle honey on top of that and bake until cheese is slightly melted. Yum!

Good for making croutons.... or use sliced bagguette bread to make mini pizzas for appitizers. Good served with chili or soups. Even better, use sliced bagguette bread and serve with a cheese fondu.
