Scrap metal dealers will buy your materials if they are metal.
Otherwise, contact the manufacturers rep of the materials that you have and see if they will purchase them from you.

Recycle centers for the usual bottles, paper and cans. Some things can be sold at a flea market or yard sale. Some things go to an antique shop. Some things you are stuck with or have to give away. And then there are the things you have to pay someone to take off your hands.

If you mean bottles and cans, a lot of times they are close to a grocery store. Usually behind it or in the parking lot.
Save Mart in Angels and Treats in San Andreas both have recycling centers behind them. Valley Springs has one in the parking lot by Burger King.
