Asian because it requires more skill to prepare different kind of dishes and there's definitely more varieties like meat, vege, rice, noodle, etc,
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Italian is all about pasta, pasta and pasta.

Italian cooking, no matter how upscale, the French would never consider them cuisine class. Anyone with basic kitchen sense could make a decent pasta or pizza.
Wok kungfu, on the other hand, can be learnt only through actual observation, cultural osmosis, and hands-on practice under a master preferably with Hong Kong chefing or Canto restaurant background.
Go for the Chinese kitchen real solid craft first. Could always add the "I cooked pasta with real Italian" later, if it's necessary.

Wok a choice!
If I'm a white, I'd learn Italian because however good you are at Asian cuisine (which one? so many), a white chef behind a flaming wok or roasting a crispy skin duck just don't gel.
My value as an Italian chef then would be higher as would an Asian personality dishing out tom yam gong. It's always the culture behind the food.
Having said that, I feel white Australian chefs are amazing in re-inventing themselves; to capitalize on their predominant native European culture, fused it with Asian, Mediterranean to create out-of-this-world cuisine in looks and taste. But then Aussies are an amazing people.

Turbo Wok SPECIALTY COOKING all the way!
It takes you more time to practise - TURBO - you mean, right?
If you gave the wok up, then, try Italian!

our second opinions may not count as much especially if you only agree with some of us half-heartedly so let me put it this way to make it quite easier for you to decide.
since you have that interest of cooking why not try mulling it over yourself by weighing things.
*try to realize which cuisine you like to eat more
*which of the 2 can you be creative at especially when plating them
*which has wider or extensive variations; variations can help you be more creative because it is the only way you can come up with somethin' on your own using your own palette
here's my vote even if i love italian food:
ASIAN- just because there's so much you can make. its food can come sweet, sour, salty, a bit bitter, spicy or combination of each. Also, when u say ASIAN that means all countries in that continent including Phils, Japan, CHina, Korea, Thai...
with ITALIAN....hmmm you figure it out.
goodluck. i love to cook too so it must be a tough decision to make.

Asian Cuisine is basically a generic term, dude .... it has various flavours .... From the Non-Meat, Non-Garlic Jain Cuisine to the Meat only Chinese Cuisine ... Whereas Italian could be learnt fully during the course ... So, it depends on what that particular place is serving ...

Asian..... You can pick up the Italian on your free time. Asian cooking has to be learned hands on and from a professional. I learned my basic Italian cooking years ago from a Puerto Rican chef...
