My post-meal numbers are under control, but can't seem to lower my fasting numbers. I've tried eating a high protein snack before bed and it hasn't helped.

Yes, I do. Avoid dairy products and add a half teaspoon of cinnamon to your daily diet plan. Don't poo poo it until you've tried it for a couple of weeks.... it works. Don't forget your daily exercise, either.

Have you tried adding some complex Carbohydrates to your Protein snack before bed. The complex Carbs and the Protein should keep you blood sugar levels more consistent.
Have you asked about getting some help from a dietitian or nutritionist?
Are you currently, on medication that helps your body use the insulin the is produce effectively, Metformin of Gliberide?
( My mom and brother are both diabetic and with their medications and some counseling on good nutrition and exercise they have both kept their blood glucose levels in check. My brother has actually, had his dosage cut due to the healthy eating and exercise plan he is on.)

insulin is not the first med doctors try. it is the last!! ok? you are afraid of needles?

has the doc put you on some oral meds? are you taking them the way the doc said to do?

Most of us get Metformin first. this works on the liver to prevent it from dumping sugars out on the system during what it considers to be starvation (at night when we don't eat).

there are 7 classes of medications that are tried either singly or in combination before insulin is considered in type 2 treatment.

a lot of us have the "dawn phenomenom" in which about 2 or 3 in the morning our livers decide we are starving! If you set the alarm clock and test then, you might be surprised.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.

I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

A more vigorous exercise program works for me. I usually walk, but if my fasting has been running a little high. I do some heart pumping, hard breathing exercises a couple of days before and my sugars are at or below normal.
