Okay, I just learned to use this glucose reader that a drug rep gave me. I did a test to make sure I am using it correctly. My number is 129. I ate dinner about 2 1/2 hours ago.

Is this a normal number? I cannot find anywhere on the directions to this thing what a normal number is.

I will not eat/drink tonight and will do this again in the morning. What "should" normal numbers be then?

129 is great! I envy you! I get readings of 225 to 250. :(

What is a random blood sugar test? A random blood sugar test measures your blood sugar at any point in time, not necessarily a certain amount of time after a meal, snack or beverage. What's normal? A normal random blood sugar result is lower than 100 mg/dL. What level suggests prediabetes? If your random blood sugar level is higher than 100 mg/dL but lower than 199 mg/dL, you may have prediabetes. What level suggests type 1 or type 2 diabetes? A random blood sugar level of 200 mg/dL or higher suggests either type 1 or type 2 diabetes. Remember, your blood sugar level alone isn't enough to differentiate between type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Your doctor may do other tests to determine which type of diabetes you have.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.

Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

I'm assuming you are not diabetic. Normal BSL range for a non diabetic is 35-110 and for a diabetic they are 35-80. It is certainly a tight range, easily achieved. BSLs should be checked just BEFORE a meal - not afterwards, otherwise they are quite inaccurate. Have a normal dinner tonight, then recheck you BSL in the morning before breakfast. If it is above 110, then pay your local doctor a visit. If it is normal, congratulations, put the BSL reader away for 6 months. Best of luck.

a fasting blood sugar taken after 12 hours of no eating should be under 100.
Two hours after eating it can be anywhere between 150 and 250, depending on what you ate. 123 two hours after eating is not something to worry about.
More worrisome is a blood sugar that is too low. It should never go below 70. If it does, eat something sweet quick and follow it up with a trip to the doctor.

Normal blood sugar levels are between 80 and 120, so yours is a little elevated, but not enough to be overly concerned about.

Your numbers are great. You want to look for numbers between 70-110 but even in the 120's is not bad.

normal readings are 100 or below to 70 when its over 100 you are diabetic and even if they tell you borderline its still the same. you need to get dieting and watch what you eat and read your blood sugars 4 x day.

dont worry, you dont have to not eat or drink, that wont really make much of a difference, depending on how soon you test after you eat/drink. the normal should be between 80 and 150. it goes higher as you eat/drink, and lower as you work out, etc. good luck!
