Oh hon....go for it! Don't stop until you just can't do it anymore. You will know when that time is. Don't ever NOT try something. I think volleyball would be great since there is not alot of running involved. I know you can do it. Excercise is so very important when you have CF. You have to expand those lungs as much as possible, plus it helps to get the phlem out. Make sure you stay hydrated. Drink lots of water.

My 16 year old daughter has CF and she tried many sports...mostly soccer. Unfortunately at 11 she had to stop, just could breath very well anymore. Has new lungs now for 4 years and is doing fantastic!

Bless you! :)

Yip u sure can!

Ur lungs may find it a little bit hard at first but the exercise will be great for you. The more exercise u do the better.

You know, I don't see why you couldn't try. Go for it! Even if you're only able to play a little bit, it's better than not at all.

If you feel ok and are able to breath good enough to play volleyball, knock yourself out kiddo.
If you get short of breath and cannot play, then dont.

You should check with your CF care team, but I would guess they will tell you to go for it. That’s always been my impression … this kind of exercise will only help you.

Yes. I swam all through my school years. Sports are the best way to stay healthy (besides your meds)
