First, the person who said that this blood pressure is not a problem is an idiot. When your Blood pressure is that high, you are doing severe damage to your kidneys. The number one cause for people to be on dialysis (kidney machine) is untreated high blood pressure. Dialysis is a miserable existance while you are waiting to die. I am being blunt, but I have seen way to many patients in my career who killed their kidneys by ignoring their blood pressure. Go to a doctor, have a few tset done to see if it might be caused by a type of tumor called a pheochromocytoma. If that is the cause, it can be removed, and your blood pressure will go back to normal. Otherwise, you will need to be placed on medication. I am assuming that you are not taking some drug such as meth, cocaine, or crack that will cause your blood pressure to be that high.

Blood pressure measurements don't count for anything if you've been walking around. Ideally, you should be sitting down for at least 5 minutes or so. Blood pressure also can vary during the day, so it's best to get measurements from similar times during the day. No caffeine in the morning either. These measurements should be repeated on a few separate occasions. Some people get "white coat hypertension" when they go to the doctor's office because they are nervous. Probably blood pressure medicines wouldn't kill you. But you don't necessarily need blood pressure medicines if your blood pressure is only high while active. When doctors study the effects of high blood pressure, they study the effects of people who are diagnosed with it as described above. You are probably at no higher cardiac risk from your blood pressure.

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

High blood pressure ( hypertension ) is known as the silent killer precisely because many people don't know they have it until a trip to the emergency room. Unfortunately, one-third of 1st heart attacks are FATAL.
Pls make an appt with a physician and get some meds and some diet info to bring it down! Otherwise, you are a ticking bomb.

Be concerned. I have high blood pressure too and I feel fine. Your blood pressure can affect you in different ways. You will not necessarily feel crappy. Lower your sodium intake, do not use salt on food, stop smoking if you smoke. If you are stressed out, which is the cause of my high blood pressure, ask your doctor for an anti anxiety drug. That is what is lowering my blood pressure.

Whoo! That is high. You may be feeling fine but there are things happening with your body you aren't feeling. If high blood pressure goes untreated, you can have hypertrophy (thickening) of the heart muscles, stroke, heart attack and or renal failure. It is important to get this risk factor for heart disease under control. It is a simple fix with medication.

You need to make a doctors appointment and be treated for hypertension.
They call high blood pressure the silent killer because your blood pressure staying elevated can kill your kidneys and cause you to have a stroke.
