U bring up a very important issue. A cow or chicken eat absolutly NO meat at all. On the other hand vegtables will use by products from the slaughter house, from the fish canneries, etc for fertilizer which is a plant's food.
So isn't eating meat the purer form of vegan than vegan itself??

look at your teeth honey it will tell you what you can eat....it is only a choice not to eat meat not a law....my teeth are both pointed and flat.....one used for tearing the other for crushing....therefore I'm what you call an omnivore....i love meat....the human race is not designed to be just herbivore.......but for only by choice......if you don't eat meat that's ok by me.....really....veggies work

Who said you are suppose to eat animals. If you want to eat animals -- go eat them.
Some people CHOOSE not to eat them. Some people also choose not to watch Nascar or listen to rap music. It is their choice, this section of Y/A is for people who made that choice or support that choice. If you have made a different choice that is fine too.

The notion of 'supposed' doesn't come into play anywhere. We were neither supposed to eat animals, nor were we supposed to NOT eat animals. But as logical and supposedly ethical animals, we have the choice to not eat them. Humans are animals too. The 5 kingdom classification is animals, plants, fungi, protists, bacteria.
Please don't use the word 'supposed'. It is unscientific.
