I make a great spaghetti sauce from scratch and prefer to serve seperate from the noodles & meatballs allowing guest to add what amount they want. I've gone to other places/homes that combine all and serve it that way. Do you have a preference how its served? thanks.

I am part Italian so have to make my own sauce. In our house I have to make spaghetti w/two different sauces. Some of us like the works and some do not like mushrooms, green peppers etc. I do, however, mix the sauce w/the noodles and meatballs. The only thing anybody has to add is the Parmesan cheese as we all like different amounts of cheese on our spaghetti and I do not like Parmesan at all.

I like a little bit of both.

Cook pasta until it's just short of fully cooked, drain it, then finish it off in a sautee pan, medium high heat with some of the sauce. This allows the pasta to soak up more flavor. Make sure the sauce is good and bubbly before tossing the pasta with it. If you watch any cooking tv, this is the way they always do it, and it is really great. It also gets rid of the sticky pasta problem.

Italians stop right there, preferring their pasta to be less saucy. Like many Americans, I sometimes like extra sauce. You can just spoon that over the top when serving.

We serve it seperate in our house and if I am doing a party I do it seperately. The kids often don't like sauce, some people don't eat meat, etc. Some like cheese and others don't.

My Mom use to mix it all together and my Dad always hated that. They were married for over 37 years and she would still do it that way. He loved to come to my place to eat spaghetti.

I used to mix the sauce with the pasta and serve it, but my daughter started taking a dislike to spaghetti sauce, so now I serve the pasta plain with the sauces on the side so they can choose which ones they want.

We usually toss the spaghetti in a large bowl, after draining, with a little butter or olive oil and some sauce to lightly coat. Serve the majority on the side with your meat.

I love to have the spaghetti noodles served and then the sauce poured on top. I love roasted garlic sauce with fresh mushrooms, green & red peppers and a few hot peppers to spice it up. Yummy!

In my house, it is served in the kitchen. The plates are made individually per each person's preference on sauce quantity, etc. Saves a lot of mess at the table!

I combine the sauce and spaghetti. I don't add a lot of sauce though. It's usually thin instead of thick and on occasion I add parmesan.
