Yes, I love them and I never viewed them as imposing on friends and family to buy we live miles from stores so for us it is a convenience I hate going to the malls for several reason I love the personalized service and if you feel they are pushy you are dealing with the wrong people I have never had that problem and never expect anyone to buy something they don't want or need.

I am not comfortable inviting friends over for a sales pitch even when I know that those who come to such parties typically enjoy combining the opportunity to shop or learn about new products with a chance to visit with friends. Time seems so limited for many people, that it is just one more way to multi-task. Personally, I do enjoy attending these types of parties at friends' homes, so I am not sure why I don't feel comfortable hosting them myself. To each their own.

If you mean that I'd be the seller of the products, then no. If a friend asked to use our house, or invited me to cook the appetizers and arrange everything neatly on the table, then yes. That way I could always be busy and miss the presentation too!

I host home parties all the time if you mean by inviting people over for a party. We have parties either monthly or bi monthly. We invite from 8-12 people and grill up dogs and beef. We drink and watch a few movies or jump on the trampoline.

No, unless I didn't have a regular job and had to stay home with the kids or something along those line. I don't have anything against it. I just don't think I am good at sales.

I hate those things!!!!!
Reminds me of my mum years ago having tupperware.
You end up feeling obliged to buy - how many times you been to one and bought things you dont want or never use.
Sorry to be dis-heartening if your planning starting up but these things bore me and i avoid them like the plague

I have, but I hate to. I always feel like some big lurking creep asking my friends to buy.
