My fianceé has never thrown a birthday party for himself, he will be turning 30 in Feb next year. Yes i know its a bit far but i wanted to start planning it as soon as possible...What can i do to make it memorable..Bear in mind that i am in South Africa - Johannesburg to be precise..Please Help.

How about you get a few of his closest friends together and organise a braai at someones house (who has the best place for entertaining). Find out who is favourite personality is... a rugby player perhaps? Start making contact with that person now.. see if you can convince them to come along to the party (with a friend).

For my 30th, my band played and we promoted the heck out of the show and a couple hundred people showed up. Huge bashes like that are necessary for a milestone like 30

love it ior just make finger food. easy and get people to bring as well just say its finger food like tartlets and posh sausages on sticks but it will be hot so just get cold stuff.
