Because some many people are concerned about having a label, I have created a list, let me know if I am mising anybody Because everybody needs a label --- your handy-dandy complete list of labels.

VEGETARIAN (Lacto-ovo- vegetarian)
When most people think of vegetarians, they think of lacto-ovo-vegetarians. People who do not eat beef, pork, poultry, fish, shellfish or animal flesh of any kind, but do eat eggs and dairy products are lacto-ovo vegetarians (“lacto” comes from the Latin for milk, and “ovo” for egg).
Lacto-vegetarian is used to describe a vegetarian who does not eat eggs, but does eat dairy products.
Ovo-vegetarian refers to people who do not eat meat or dairy products but do eat eggs.

VEGAN
Vegans do not eat meat of any kind and also do not eat eggs, dairy products, or processed foods containing these or other animal-derived ingredients such as gelatin. Many vegans also refrain from eating foods that are made using animal products that may not contain animal products in the finished process, such as sugar and some wines. There is some debate as to whether certain foods, such as honey, fit into a vegan diet.

FRUITARIANS –
They eat only fruits, nuts and seeds.(This includes the fruit of vegetables such as tomatoes and courgettes. However they never eat the roots of plants such as carrots and potatoes)

PISCIVORE –
The word piscivore is used to describe those who abstain from eating all meat and animal flesh with the exception of fish. Although the word is not commonly used, more and more people are adopting this kind of diet, usually for health reasons or as a stepping stone to a fully vegetarian diet. Pescatarian is occasionally used but is incorrect.

FLEXITARIAN/SEMI-VEGETARIAN/DEMIVEGETARIAN
You don’t have to be vegetarian to love vegetarian food! “Flexitarian” is a term recently coined to describe those who eat a mostly vegetarian diet, but occasionally eat meat.

RAW VEGAN/RAW FOOD DIET
A raw vegan diet consists of unprocessed vegan foods that have not been heated above 115 degrees Fahrenheit (46 degrees Celsius). “Raw foodists” believe that foods cooked above this temperature have lost a significant amount of their nutritional value and are harmful to the body.

MACROBIOTIC
The macrobiotic diet, revered by some for its healthy and healing qualities, includes unprocessed vegan foods, such as whole grains, fruits and vegetables, and allows the occasional consumption of fish. Sugar and refined oils are avoided. Perhaps the most unique qualifier of the macrobiotic diet is its emphasis on the consumption of Asian vegetables, such as daikon, and sea vegetables, such as seaweed.

OMNIVORE –
Eats both animal and plant matter. A slang derogatory term for FLEXITARIAN.

CARNIVORE
Only eats meat.

LANDIVORE

HERBIVORE
Same as a vegetarian

I'm a lacto- ovo- pollo- pesce- carne- flexi- semi- demi- avia- pisci- pulli- humanivore- vegetarian

LOL
unfortunately...sooner or later... that is what it may come to...
I hope not...

I wish that these label lovers would realize that at a certain point (and that point is when you decide to eat meat) You are automatically not a vegetarian.

Ps. and thanks for providing the correct term to describe a fish eating diet :]

Ps. (again) I just realized after reading someone elses response... you forgot to point out the fact that vegetarian would usually mean a lifestyle someone lives because of certain beliefs (That's where the -arian comes in).
Herbivore just means plant eater... so I guess vegetarians are herbivores by default... but an herbivore doesn't HAVE to be a vegetarian... herbivore refers to diet :] vegetarian would refer to an advocate of... :]
Sorry... just wanted to add that...

Looks Like You covered them all with a slight tongue in Cheek. I try to stay away from processed foods, Sugars, and eat a mostly vegetarian diet and any meats I do eat have to be natural and organic. Preferably wild natural game animals. I try to avoid any foods that have chemicals added or have been processed. No white foods ie: Rice, sugar, potatoes, pasta, bread. I use only whole grain products Stone ground whole wheat and Brown rice.

I'm a Pollo-ovo-Dictatorian

We only eat what we formally dictate is vegetarian by our own spurious reasoning and random logic. We ensure all is said in a pompus, arogant and santimonious manner. We also ridicule all those that do not aspire to be me.

I actually thought i wa a vegetarian up until last week, but my kind friends on Y!A pointed out the truth for me.

;-)

Sounds like simply a humdrum algae eater. i didnt no there was once multiple style. I imply there are plecostomus, upsidedown catfish, and countless different instances of backside feeding fish that do consume algae.

why does it matter who you are???

The only reason i even call myself a vegetarian is because it is easier than saying I don't eat meat but i eat dairy products to every person who asks. When did "labels" become a part of life these are not label a label is calling someone a prep, or goth, or the one that seems the most popular Emo! Vegetarianism is a belief and so forth. who cares what kind you are but you. It is nice to be able to know your stuff when ppl ask you what you are and why you believe that.
