There is no exact "proof" as you want, to say anyone has even died of smoking but, why do you so insist on "proof" if you want to smoke, don't look for excuses.
It's your business and your life. It is a proven fact that smoking has over 137 different chemicals that affect your brain, why would you want to screw up something so important to your well being?
If it's this bad, then what would you think second hand smoke is less?

After 40 years of smoking I have asthma and emphysema, what more proof is there?

There is no proof. When are people going to get it through their heads that cigarette smoking is not as dangerous as everyone says it is?

My mother never smoked a day in her life she died 3 years ago and she had COPD.

My grandmother (who isn't dead) has never smoked and contracted emphenzema from second hand smoke. People die from emphenzema, so yes, you can die from second hand smoke.
