Carrots do contain a bit of sodium, but they have much higher potassium, so the net effect is a good one. Are you by any chance looking at a can of salted carrots to get the notion that they have a high concentration of sodium?

Sodium is an essential nutrient. It's only the very high levels of added sodium that are a health concern for some people. Even for people on an extremely restricted sodium diet, carrots would be a good thing.

I've never heard of sodium in carrots before! I have heard, however, that if you eat too many carrots, your skin will turn orange.

I don't think you have to worry about eating too many carrots... just a theory by me but I have yet to heat the heart association warn against carrots.

No. Only if you really need to watch your salt intake would it matter. I mean really watch your salt intake too. You do need sodium just like you need fat to survive. If your worried just eat them every once in a while. That solves that.
