Sounds like a fun idea. If you are organising the party, make it a point of knowing the meals yourself without divulging them to guests unless you think it's necessary to avoid disappointment. My cafe has meal names like "Crossing the Road" (chicken); "That's all Folks" (ham)'; "Gobble Me Up" (turkey); "Grenadier Guard" (roast beef); "Vegetopia" (vegetarian). Enjoy your party!!!!

I would call that pot luck! Order the craziest sounding dish, then if you don't like it trade with someone else at the table.
I wouldn't worry, Lilcow, I'm sure the chef has prepared with care not to offend any of their cherished guests, enjoy.

I think I know what you are talking about. I believe it is called " Silly Suppers". If I'm correct, this site will tell you how to create one.

Its called "be prepared for an allergic reaction"

Bad idea due to allergies and other conditions.

it sounds to me like a white elephant event..

but i agree. make it so people can trade Ie: if they HATE fish or something they can swap it off to someone else.

;) sounds like a blast! Good luck!!
