There are Amercian made tents and they are really good and really expensive. There are some tent making companies that sew their own but they cannot compete with the prices on the stuff that comes into the US and is sold in the major outfit stores. There are some small tent makers in the Northeast and the Northwest and the best thing I can suggest is that you contact some specialty camping store (small one that specializes in camping or climbing) and ask them. Outdoor products are kind of phony in that the "outfittrs" wear a great big green, happy, face and pretend that they are saving the planet but they are buying their products are dirt prices from countries that ar nonunion, sweatshop labor havens. Kind of the like the outdoor magazines that have a V8 SUV ad on every third page. And campers/hiking/outfitters etc are just as tough on the earth as other industries but they have feel good days because they pretend they are not buying equipment made with manmade fibers manufactured by petro chemical industries that have no environmental controls. You can buy materials and sew your own if you want to be a purist and there are guides and pattersn available for that too. Or you can buy cheapo imports but you have to pretend is all very moral.

Majority of simple consumer products are manufactured in China. Of those some are of very high quality. Some products are of lower quality but still functional useful and a good value. As an American my only gripe has to do with safety issues such as the illegal dangerous chemicals used even though the Chinese company knows not to use them and has agreed not to use them. This especially true with food products, like in the dog food and milk that was very harmful, this is what Americans have issue with. There has become a backlash. Some Americans will not buy any product made in China. I don’t feel that way myself. On the other hand I will never buy any food products from China. No offence but I just don’t trust them to be safe to eat.

Tents can also come with optional accessories including porches, tent carpets and footprints, to add extra space and comfort so you no longer have to "rough it" when you camp but more like you have a home away from home.
Family tents range in size, depending on your family. From 3 berth to 10 berth, with a variety of styles, spaces and more.
A family tent will usually offer a large living space and multiple bedrooms. Family tents are becoming more and more popular as it is an inexpensive way to get away with the family.

Kirkham's from Salt Lake City may still have some US made tents. At least their website says they carry Made In USA tents. They manufacture their own tents.
Also, some tents from Diamond Brand MAY be still made in the USA. The Boy Scouts still buy a lot of tents from them, and for a long time the BSA used to only buy American.
If you need light-weight backpacking tarp/tents Equinox from Williamsport, PA makes tarps, groundcloths, and bugscreens. I used to carry a lot of Equinox stuff in the store I use to work at. I think it's pretty good stuff.
Also in the ultra-light category...I think Hennesy Hammocks may still be made in Canada, but don't quote me on that. Whenever I used to call them for repacements or repairs they made it sound like they were making them in the next room...I don't know 100% though.

Their aren't any. The tops brands: North Face, Mountain Hardware, Marmot, Sierra Designs, MSR, Kelty and REI are all made in foreign countries to reduce their costs and ours.

there all made over seas, and there is nothing worng with most of them. If you want a tent and want one now i would just go to a sporting good store and ask the people who work there what is the best for your needs. If you want a good deal, Ebay. i got my tent 9ft by 9ft and 6ft tall for $40. (used) it is made by Quest. it has held up for over 3 years now.

I think you're out of luck - most outdoor gear is made in Asia (especially Vietnam).
