The effects of a stroke depend primarily on the location of the obstruction and the extent of brain tissue affected. If the stroke occurs in the brain's right side, the left side of the body (and the right side of the face) will be affected, which could produce any or all of the following:
Paralysis on the left side of the body
Vision problems
Quick, inquisitive behavioral style
Memory loss
If the stroke occurs in the left side of the brain, the right side of the body (and the left side of the face) will be affected, producing some or all of the following:
Paralysis on the right side of the body
Speech/language problems
Slow, cautious behavioral style
Memory loss

It really depends on the size of the stroke, where it was situated and how lon till it was treated. And if its early days, you'll need togive time for antural healing as well.

A stroke on the left hand side of brain affects the right hand side of the body and vice versa. If the motor system is damaged it causes paralysing on the affected area. The paralysis is spasmic and not limp. Swallowing, speech, memory, bladder control etc. could be affetced as well. All the aspects benefit from early rehabilitation as soon as the conciousness is recovered.

I'm sorry this is a bit vague, but as I said there are number of factors that contribute to it. I hope this helped though.

I had a friend who had a couple of strokes. I'm assuming you know the symptoms so I'll just tell you some end result things that happened to my friend. She was paralyed on one side of her body, including her mouth, leg and arm. She had to stay in a wheel chair. She also had some trouble with her brain... memory and forming sentences. Some people can fully recover from strokes some strokes are too devastating... good luck.

It can vary greatly from person to person, a small stroke can result in the person just getting a little confused about things, the extreme effect, is for the person to loose use of one side of their body which effects speech and brain function

Well, death is quite possible. But if you live.. neurological issues, slurred speech, problems moving arms or legs, possible total paralysis on one side or both. Memory problems. Problems swallowing... all depends on how severe the stroke was.
