& that they just "call it a moisturizer" so their products can sell? That's what someone on here said. I just need to get confirmation on if this is true or not.

its absolutely true. the mineral oil and petroluem just sit on the hair locking in what ever existing moisture but locking out any additional moisture. You'd be better off using a natural oil like shea, coconut avocado or extra virgin olive oil

I don't know about those particular products but oil does just coat. It is not necessarily a bad thing, it does protect your hair and will lock in any mosture that you do have. Use something else to moisturize and you can still use your oils.

its true so if u want ur hair to be soft ns mooth n moustirerized whisk an egg n mix with a teaspoon of olive oilthen massage in hair n rinse that will mousterize ur hair
