plz accept my greetings,its my pleasure to correspond with you.i would try to answer you question.
first and formost you must understand what is religion?
religion teaches us to love god,it teaches us how to reach that goal of loving God.Any thing that doen't teach this which is void of God is not a religion.
so, your concept of athiesm as religion is wrong.
and i would say turning into athiest is humanbeings greatest misfortune.
once a person doesn't believe in God he is reduced to and animal a dog.yes, an animal.
so religion is very important in human life without which they are merely animals.i am not telling stories it is fact and i can prove it too.
now what distinguishes us humans from animals? you would say greater intelligence.but even a dog is intelligent enough when we say 'hat' the dog understands that we don't want him,a cat waits untill his master goes away so that it can easily grab tha food.so how can you say they dont have greater intelligence.
now you may question humans have intelligence to build cars and rockets...?but i would question for 'what purpose' ?just to do what the cats and the dogs too do the four animal propensities eating, sleeping, mating, defending.animals go from place to place on four legs we go on four wheels,animals defend themselves by claws and teeth we defend by nuclear bombs and rockets,animals mate in the street we mate in multistored sky scrapper in air conditioned apartment,they sleep on road we sleep on bed but during our sleep we dont remember where we are sleeping.
So,where is the difference between us and the animals we are doing the same thing which animals even do eating, sleeping, mating, defending but we do it in greater style but the purpose is the same.to eat,sleep,mate,defend.if you very carefully analize the whole world is revolving around this 4 animal propensities.
Now the big question is how we are different from animals??
we are different from animals inthe sense that we can understand religion, what is God.but a dog can not.
So religion make us human beings not athiesm.Athiest have no knowledge of God so they are dog.
and one who can not understand this simple thing is very misfortunate for ages to come.
it doesn't matter which ever religion you follow the motive is the same to love god. and every religion teaches to love god and follow his commands.hope i have answered your question

Atheism(not Atheistism) is not a religion. It is a rejection of the ancient myths that drive people to create their religions,and to hate everyone that doesn't share their stone age belief systems. And yes Atheism is a good place to be, it is the freeing of the mind from the dictates of superstitious ancient myths,and thus allows a person to focus more on the realities of the world.

Atheism is not a religion per say... It is more a belief against the traditional structures of modern (or historical) religions... Conflict will always be there when it comes to religion... For you to say that the conflict is "driving" you to atheism tells me that you are from some sort of religious background... Please... whatever religion you are, study a little more... talk to knowlegable people about your religion... Talk about your faith... your doubts... and whatever questions you have before abandoning it... It is important that a true believer (or atheist) has to come to their understanding and faith on their own terms. So, before changing to any other religions, look into your own... If it doesn't help you become a better person, then I will suggest that you look elsewhere for guidance.

Yes, your anguish is justified. But then, because the parents are always at loggerheads, the children need not run away from home.
Your Religion is your identity. You have to accept the fact that you are a part of it, whether you like it or not.
Anyone who is born in a religion would pursue it and abide by it. The strange aspect of life is that one from one religion thinks that the other one makes no sense.
At least, you refrain from such style of thinking. And you would have your life lived to the full

Religion is some thing that should help you to find the Ultimate truth and Reality(God), if religion is not providing you answers then you can choose your own way to find the truth outside religions...
After all relationship with God is a unique personal relationship..
And religion can just help in this...
An athiest is some one who does not believe in the existence of God...
No religion can turn u atheist...
If you dont believe in God u will turn atheist...
But those who have experience God are confirmed beyond doubt about this unique relationship

Gods were invented by man, in a desperate attempt to explain what was once unexplainable... things like the sun, moon, and stars... day and night... thunder and lightening... sickness and death... etc... and to answer questions that were once unanswerable... vital, profound, important questions like "Daddy... what holds the sky up?"
For all of these questions, the delusion "God did it" (the ILLUSION of knowledge) has been replaced by REAL knowledge... and as a result, this 'god' has been reduced from an all-powerful supernatural being to a 'God of the Gaps'... an imaginary cockroach-like creature that scurries from crack-to-crevice, looking for the remaining patches of darkness and shadow in mankind's '"knowledge-base", so as to cower and hide from the glaring light of knowledge and understanding.
The fact that people continue to cling to this pitiable, delusional 'god' idea is a pathetic disgrace, to say the least... and I am inclined to add 'tragic' to that, as well... a testament to the enduring power of gullibility, irrationality, willful ignorance, self-delusion, intellectual dishonesty, hypocrisy and drooling stupidity.
Yet today, we find stalwart defenders of these insane delusions fighting a desperate battle to stave of knowledge and understanding, trying to shield the dark cracks and crevices of ignorance from the light of reason... crying "No... no... that ain't so... God did it... God did it."
Pfffttt...

Atheistism is a group that beleives that there is no Religion and do not belive in God.
The beleif against god is never positive towards religion since it is this belief that gives us faith to whatever the religon that we follow.
I would advice you to leave athesism and have faith in God.
people sooner or later belive in God in dire situation so becoming a athesism is useless anyhow.

It is not a religion cause when this people ask about non religion stuff,they are known as hipocrates and that same person ask about religion stuff,they are known as atheist.Either they lacks knowledge and they are finding the truth or they are sarcastic that other people see things diferently from their point of views.for info I'm a muslim

Atheism is not a religion.
There are NO gods to worship.
Atheists deny the existence of any of the current gods.
However, it is a good lifestyle choice. Nay! Not good - excellent!
