can anyone remember the crisps called potato puffs if so do u know which firm made them and can u still get them.plz no silly replys thanx

I don't know who makes them sorry. I get some from my ice cream van, who does not really sell ice cream, he sells sweets and crisps and some groceries. I get these ones that are barbecued flavor and 25 pence a bag.

How I remember them. As far as I can recall they made an appearance about 1955 when I was a child at school and they used to sell them there at break time. I cannot say for sure who made them but I would be probably Smiths or Burtons as they were the big manufacturers then , possibly Nabisco. They were delicious and a real change from 'Salt n Shake' which were all we had before flavoured crisps.

i LOVE potato puffs, they are made by burtons and you can still get them, i tend to find them in little independant newsagents rather than big chain supermarkets, beefy one and salty ones for me, no salt & vinager!! they're yummy, i hope you find some again soon!
