A blue morpho is a type of butterfly. I have already found photos, but I also need some paintings to see how it looks so I can do some imitative drawing.

Do you have a decent sized library near you, or a university? They will have some old entomology books, which contain line drawings and watercolors of insects. Also, if you can look up any books by explorers in the Americas, they might also include drawings.

Or contact a natural history museum, they should at least be able to give you a reference, if not send you a picture.

Have a look for something by Steitz or similar
