The desires of my heart change each time I take a step closer to God. †

First I remember:

"And I will do whatever you ask in my name."
John 14:13

I desire to live a better live to glorify my Lord Jesus' Christ name. To be a more patient person. I try my best not to ask for worldly things, even though that is a hard thing to refrain from.

This is something from my church:

When we pray, we all hope that all of our prayers are answered in the way that we want. We do everything that we can to promise God that we will do whatever is wanted as long as we what we are asking for.

Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see our lives changing. God does answer every prayer that we make, just not always the way that we want. There are four ways in which God answers our prayers. They are either answered with a, "No," "Grow," "Slow," or a "Go."

What have you done for God?

DO THE WILL OF GOD
You need to find a home church, be obedient, follow his word, be baptized with the holy spirit, show your self approved and do the will of God (Mark 16: 15 - 18)

Honestly, it's selfish but true: I just want to feel better in my own skin. My whole life I've struggled with my weight, and I just want to lose the last bit and feel better about myself.

Yep, I've asked. Apparently the answer right now is no.

To see Black Sabbath finally reunite with Ronnie James Dio, and then tour with Alice Cooper. It's something I've dreamed about for years.

No, I didn't ask any deity. I just bought a ticket because it finally became a reality.

Yeah, because as we all know, God created this universe to give us stuff that we invented. He really just wants us all to have everything we want, so he developed a prayer hotline.
Give me a break, you want something you work hard and achieve it. You don't beg some almighty God to throw it in your lap.

Yup. God is about 0-for-five right now in that category, however.

He will prove himself faithful, though. I believe that.
