Try to go to another church if such things are happening there; not going is not the best solution because step by step you will lose contact with God. I know it from my own experience; it happend to me something similar.

Exactly! Listen to what you're saying. I agree with you on the point about false churches. Not every church is worth going to. But then again, not all churches are bad. If a church is truly preaching the Word, and is edifying, then why not attend? I get tired of people always knocking church just because they're are a some bad ones out there.

What defines us as disciples of Christ is when are living by the spirit, and not the sinful nature. The sinful nature tells us to avoid church, avoid other believers, to be cynical of the church, and try to be self-righteous on our own terms.

Church is very Biblical and helps define who we are as believers in Christ and of his body.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." -Matthew 28:19-20

Do other organizations out there make disciples of Jesus other than churches? How about in your home? How many new believers have you baptized? Do Bible teaching? Is Gods word preached in your home? Do you give communion? Do you give at least 10% of your income for a ministry or mission?

Gods will is done through todays church. Some of them may be corrupt, but that is our challenge is to make church a great place where Gods will is done, we fellowship with one another, we worship together, give back to God, take communion, make new believers, and take care of peoples needs. How does all that stuff get done at your house alone? A wise man once said, there is no such thing as a lonely Christian.

Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. -Hebrews 10:25

Believe me I know where youare coming from. But not every church is like that. Most people shope around for a car or a job much better than they do a church. And while I would never accuse you of not being a true Christian because you may not go to church, it is nevertheless a very important duty of all Christians. because if you don;t need help, there are many others that need YOUR help! And of course there's the tithe factor.

Hbr 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some [is]; but exhorting [one another]: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Standing in a church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car.

My husband always says that some people spend 6 days and 22 hours a week a sinning, and 2 hours singing hymns and repenting. I'm not dissing all church goers by any means, just those who are hypocrites or imposters.

You are so right about so many churches, they are Luke warm.
The church I go to only preaches sound doctrine. How do I know? Because, when we do the things that are stated in the bible, these things actually happen (mark 16: 15 - 18). We laid hands on the sick, cast out demons and spoke in tongues.

Tonight ask God to place you in a church that preaches sound doctrine.

DO THE WILL OF GOD
You need to find a home church, be obedient, follow his word, be baptized with the holy spirit, show your self approved and do the will of God (Mark 16: 15 - 18)

MY EXPERIENCES

I experienced God many of times, when you fellowship with him. I received the Holy Spirit one day before I came to the church that I am attending now. The power of the Holy Spirit was so powerful that it was a force that rippled from my feet through my body and up to my head. It removed the pain and depression that I had at the time and it caused a great sensation of peace (to this day, I was never water baptized). He will be there for you; he knows your needs and wants. One night after doing the will of God (ministering to someone against the book of James) I was driving back home and I continued to fall asleep on the fwy. On the third time, my ears popped opened, like a loud explosion, I felt a rush of pins and needles swirling around the inside of my head, I felt pins and needles from my elbows to my hands and then I was wide awake, like I had slept for days. I drove all the way home and when I got into the driveway I started to fall a sleep again. Once he picked me and my motorcycle up, while riding in the mountains after I was about to crash. I blacked out and when he set me back on the path, I woke up. Once he sent an angel down to stop me from doing something stupid, this angel looked like a human but when I turned away for a second and then back he vanished. I can go on and on. Have faith, sit in a church and learn God's word. You need to find a home church, be obedient, follow his word, be baptized with the holy spirit, show your self approved and do the will of God (Mark 16: 15 - 18)

I'm not Christian, Jewish actually, but I believe its the same for any religion. Religion is in your heart and soul. Going to a particular venue to give expression to your spirituality is an individual thing. I dont believe one is better or worse for not going to a church, synagogue, temple or mosque. What goes on between yourself and G_d is between you and G_d. And you are totally right when you mention that elders in a church are merely humans with the same failings as everyone else.

However when you do go to Church you do become an easy mark for "fundraising", because of peer pressure.

I don't think you have to go to church to be a true Christian. Many of Christ's most famous words were spoken outside of religious buildings ( just think about the Sermon on the Mount, for one). A Christian is a follower of Christ, pure and simple. Worshipping in a church is not even possible for people in many countries where freedom of religion is not respected. I believe you should worship Christ wherever you feel best able to.

I am a child of God. Jesus is my church, he is not a building down the street. There are Christians who do not go to church in a building down the street. Those who are believers in Jesus (the one true church) are the members of my church. I would say to you,"Welcome". I do do praise and worship, it's not hard http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIAdgLR1ZGw
NotReligion.com is mostly folks who are believers in God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost but without "Organized Religion" yet in line with God and the word of God.

It is a personal relationship between yourself and your creator, God is not a weapon (although there seem to be plenty of people who seem to think otherwise) God can't be wielded by any mere man so fear not.

That's like a Linkin Park fan downloading all the MP3s for free without buying the CDs and paying royalties. Sure, like none of the money in royalties actually goes to Linkin Park, but that's not the point. The point is that you have to buy the CDs.
Yeah, it's all commercial. You can believe whatever you want in your own home.

We are the Church, I don't need to go to a building to fellowship with other believers. The money that they use to build the (so called) church buildings could be spent to feed the widows and orphans.
