What can the Catholic Church do to regain the peoples trust?

This is in respect to the recent events or yet another priest molestation issue in socal which sadly was solved by a settlement payed by selling a nuns convent (the nuns will soon to be homeless unless something is done).

Go into voluntary liquidation. Following its winding-up, the billions arising from the sale of its properties and treasures should be given to help alleviate world poverty and pay for free condoms to be distributed throughout AIDS affected areas.

The Catholic Church needs to worry more about gaining God's trust again, forget the people. If the Pope were to return to real biblical Christianity tomorrow and move the church back to its biblical roots of 1800 years ago they would be able to get God on their side. The Roma Church is out of control because it no longer is a biblical church. The Catholic church worships Mary and the Church more than God and God will not be second to anyone! The Catholic clergy is the best example of what and who God does not want anyone to be in His Kingdom. They are re just like the Pharisees of old and they will be eternally punished for leading people away from God. They are the ultimate in false teachers, it makes God vomit.

I am a Catholic convert after being a Protestant minister for over 25 years. Your accusations against Christ’s Church besides being false, illogical and ignorantly contrived actually are a direct attack against the veracity of Christ. The roots of the Church have never been the Bible but the entire teaching of Christ contained in the Sacred Tradition of the Church. The Church wrote and canonized the Bible as a guide to faith but was and is not the sole source of faith or Christ’s teaching. One must remember that the Protestant doctrine of “Sola Scriptura” is a heresy and against the teaching of Scripture as St. Paul said that we are not to just follow the written Word but the Traditions that come from Christ’s teaching as come from the Church. However, The Catholic Church is the only true biblical Church as it is Christ’s Church which is entrusted with the regula fidei by the direct authority of Christ. God is on the side of His Church as the Church has the promise of Christ that He will be with His Church until the end of the age and that the gates of hell will not prevail against the Church. No other Church and certainly not the man made Protestant ecclesiastical groups, have such promises that they will endure. The Scriptures further state that the Church that Christ created is and always will be the “bulwark and ground of the truth”.

I am amazed that one who is claiming spiritual superiority to the Church created by Christ bears false witness against His Church by making the false claim that His Church worships His mother. I wonder how Christ will receive such sin at judgment. Will He be charitable and have mercy for those that use His mother to attack what He created or will He say that those who cry Lord, Lord and do not do His will and instead attack His Church are not known to Him as righteous?

Not being satisfied attacking just Christ’s Church and His mother you also attack the leadership ordained by Christ and maintained by apostolic succession.. While there is some shred of truth in what you say you uncharitably do not point out that those priests who have been guilty of being sexual predators are less than one percent of Catholic clergy and that the Catholic clergy have the lowest incidence, by far, of any clergy. Those Protestant groups who have investigated their own clergy have found that sexual predators among their clergy number over fifteen percent. Consequently, it appears that you are casting stones with your superior Pharisaical attitude and accusations. Why not concentrate on getting your own house in order.

In spite of your unjustified and almost blasphemous attack on Christ’s Church the Church remains the ark of truth for mankind and the grace that God delivers to mankind through His Church is the grace necessary to endure in a sinful world. The world hates His Church just as the world hated Him. May the Lord have mercy on those deceived by the world.

Constantine was not the founder of the Church, Christ is the founder. It amazes me that people believe such nonsense spread by those who hate Christ and His Church. I will denounce Constantine as the founder as being unfounded lies spread by the critics and haters of Christ's Church.

Allow priests to marry. Allow female priests. The word Catholic means universal, meaning everyone is accepted universally...the church should follow this and accept gay people. The church needs to become more liberal basically.

Don't expect Priests to put themselves out. The Catholic church has always treated women as second class, that is when they weren't hanging or burning them. Have the Catholic church denounce Constantine as the founder of the church and install all the writings of the prophets both Male and female during Jesus's time into the cannon. That would satisfy me.

I don't really know what they can do, even aside from this huge issue, they have decrees saying that they are the only real church, which turns other Christians agianst them. I was acutally hurt by this, since my parents are Catholic and I am a Christian. They really have hurt them self by their actions more than they can recover from in the bext few years.
