Minced basil gives an omelet or scrambled eggs a refreshing twist. Basil in any tomato- based dish is also good. It's also good in some clear chicken broth or even just a couple of leaves in plain old hot water for an herbal tea.

You can also make a nice dipping sauce for grilled fish or chicken with minced basil mixed with soy sauce, minced white onions, tomatoes, and just a bit of garlic. Try a 1:1 proportion for the basil, onion, and tomatoes. As for the soy sauce and garlic, I personally find that a little of these two go a long way.

Thin slice of veal, seared quickly and covered in a cheese, pepper and basil sauce (shred the cheese, (+ seeded mustard if desired) mix it with a litlte cornflour and light milk - heat until cheese melted and add a pinch of salt, pepper and basil when it's just about done.

Beware that the cheese sauce takes ten to 15 minutes and the veal takes three or four.

I know the best salad EVER and basil is the most important ingredient:
lettuce
fresh strawberries, fresh oranges, fresh pineapple
sliced tomato
avocado
corn kernels
slivered almonds
bleu cheese
and of course...BASIL
with chinese chicken salad dressing
I know it sounds weird, but it is DELISH
And it's very versatile; you can modify the salad to suit your tastes like add chicken or use feta if you don't like bleu cheese, but make sure you don't lose the basil, it makes the salad!!! try it and tell me what you think...

I would suggest to make pesto.

You can use pesto in many dishes. For example, as a compliment for meat dishes, spread for sandwiches, use as a pizza sauce. It is also good if you put the sauce (add a bit of balsamic vinegar and use on salads.

Add it to beans. I like to add it to fish or shrimp. Use it in any soup, gumbo jambalaya. I add it to Alfredo sauce especially with seafood.
