Relocation people are coming in a week, how should i prepare my home for them?
i was thinking to packing my closet but i am unsure if i should do it or not?. shall i empty kitchen cabinets and put all the stuff on counters?

Do nothing!!! Just make sure anything that is really precious is packed by you and moved by you!! They will do closets, kitchen cupboards etc etc - they have special boxes for all that stuff. Good luck with the move.
Ohh and pack a personal suitcase for each family member - clothing and personal items.

Pack up yourself all of your small precious items like jewelry, collectibles, etc. - and things you might not want the movers to see (or break!). Also pack a bag for each person in case something happens and you and your things don't make it there at the same time.
