In Algebra, there are formulas. For ex: a^2 -b^2 = (a+b) (a-b) which can be styled as "software" in Computer. If you apply the formula to 103x97 = (100+3)(100-3)= 100^2 - 3^2 = 10000-9 = 9991, you get a faster answer. This is called "application software"

Yes, Algebra has some relationship with Computer Science. The fundamentals of Programming requires knowledge of Algebra to correctly relate an equation or mathematical series into a program, which would then in turn help you relate the basic programming into more complex jobs under Computer Science.

Good question. Basically, good thing in and good thing out. But if rubbish in, rubbish out. So, your superb computer programmer will think of to ease the applicator so that they won't throw any rubbish in and getting rubbish out. I have been using a lot of engineering software, and frankly speaking non of them is good coz sometimes i need to do multiplication or convertion my own. If programmers are strong in algebra, i believe that makes the user input more user friendly, hence better market value. :)
